Thanks guys mayb it's just me. I feel there hadn't be a click sound but vibration on your home button as how haptic touch shd work

When you're device is on, the click sound is artificially created. It's a nice touch by Apple to let you know that you clicked it. What do you mean by lost the haptic touch?? If you put the phone flat down you're going to feel that it is weaker than usual.

There should also be vibration from the taptic engine. It is only prominent when you press the home button with the phone in your hands. Do you have a broken taptic engine? Try again with button setting "3".

No. I don't feel vibration anymore.. more of a click.. even at setting 3.. may bring it down to have a check. Googled but can't find someone with the same issue

Probably just not getting used to it also(not sure).

You can try for yourself - press home button as normal like when unlocking. Then press home button with finger covered with thin cloth. If you can feel the difference, I think it's alright. If both feels the same, something very wrong with the taptic.

Try restarting. Happened to my friend's 7+ also. After restarting the phone, the thing vibrates again when he presses it.

Tried several times restarting. Suddenly my home button feels like the old home button. You can click it though it doesn't move and I'm sure it was different from this morning when I was using. Phone is only one day old..

Use cloth over it, I can't even feel it click (meaning it's prob not sensing) I suspect my Taptic Engine is working fine just that the alignment may be a bit off

It's kinda hard to be off alignment, there's no place for anything to shift in the phone.. it doesn't vibrate violently when you press the home button, just a very short click feel, if you can feel anything at all it means it's working. If you turn off the phone, nothing will move just like when you press it with a cloth.. maybe you just got used to it and it makes you feel like the old button? After all, the goal of the haptic feedback for the home button is to mimic that feel..

You can double confirm if your haptic feedback is present in the Compass app, Contacts by scrubbing the alphabets on the right.

Maybe you are right. Just wanna know.. do you hi more of a click feel or vibrative feel whenever you press the home button. For me it's much more a click feel. I can actually sense it's clicking though button is not physically pressed downwards

It's more of a click feel, very short and precise. I thought your phone had no feedback when you click when I read your original post. It'll be malfunctioning if it doesn't have any feedback.

Don't worry about your phone, I believe it's behaving as it should. If you still feel unsure, you can head to some telco or Apple retail stores to feel how the display sets feel like.

It is not supposed click when you use a cloth over it. The home button is not an actual button, the button doesn't sink/click in. The home button requires skin contact for it to "click". :)

yes, there is a click sound, but if you observe, it is actually a sound that comes from the speaker. It is intentionally added by Apple to mimic the click of a button. Will be there even if you silence the phone. That's why if you turn off the phone, or use a cloth so that it doesn't detect your press, you won't hear the click or feel the click.

Omg. Seem like telco set got defects..

Thing that bother me.

Clicking sound when you touch or soft press anywhere or near all 4 corner of phone.

Hissing sound that can be heard during video, charging and using phone -> which is obvious and will get louder. I mean of cause i will not put my ear at back to hear the hiss -> who purpose do that when using. For checking i will do it once or twice.

Screen defect, box, line dead pixel, yellow tint.

Very very hot which is abnormal during light usage or standby. Of cause charging will be hot.

Mic and speaker audio in and out. -> since i might be doing music recording.

Obvious design flaw -> of cause i will not be too bothered if it some not obvious minor scratch.

Lag, freeze, reboot not due to ios.

Battery abnormal not due to ios.

Hi Benjamin,

Kindly bring your iPhone to the address below for diagnostic, service or replacement or warranty coverage.
Please do so within your warranty period or within the 90 days of last replacement.

We will perform a verification & diagnostic and then advice if the phone is eligible for service or replacement or warranty coverage.
We will only proceed for repair or replacement if there is a hardware issue with the phone.

Kindly perform back up of your data before sending the phone in. The availability of stock is on a first come first serve basis.

You will also need to deactivate the "Find My iPhone" & "iCloud" Account in order to seek support.

For Phones that cannot be power on and serial no. that cannot be verified thru iTunes or by dialing *#06#, we will proceed to send your phone to Apple’s Repair Service Location for further diagnostic and that will take at least 3-5 working days or longer (Excludes Sat, Sun & Public Holidays). We will inform you the outcome after that. There will be diagnostic fees of S$128.40 if the phone is found to be having Unauthorised Modifications.

For Phones to be serviced, we will have to do a mail-in to Apple and that will take at least 3-5 working days or longer. (Excludes Sat, Sun & Public Holidays). We will inform you the outcome after that.

Please note that all replacements from the Service Centre are replacement units.

The replacement iPhone is a service unit which has been assembled using the same manufacturing process as a new unit with new parts and parts that have been tested to be equivalent to new in reliability and performance. The assembled units look cosmetically new.

Replacement iPhone is warranted for 90 days from the date of service/replacement, or for the remaining period of your original iPhone Warranty, whichever is longer.

You have to join the queue and the waiting time depends of the crowd for the day. You might want to visit our website http://www.qcd-tech.com/ebooking/ to make an appointment.
