As for speaker it should be at the bottom bezel but sure won't be power one cause so little space to squeeze in the components

Can this be used to make phone calls? Where is the speaker and microphone?

The Mi MIX uses ceramic acoustic system to transmit sound instead, not the same as Sharp AQUOS Crystal.

I use Alipay web site. Once done, you can use it with Taobao too. Think there is also some top up process or ask friend to pay for you. But never try.

Nope, not the same. Sharp Crystal will require you to stick the phone closely on your face/ear in order to heard the voice.

The Aquos Crystal features a Direct Wave Receiver which essentially vibrates the entire front panel of the display to get the conversation into your ears.

As for Mi MIX, basically uses piezoelectric ceramic to convert sound into mechanical energy that vibrate the phone midframe to produce sound. It works much better in noisy environment.

Hi everyone, was in Sim Lim today to pick up the Mi 5S Plus. Overheard the sales person saying they'll be bringing in the Mix but subject to stock availability as apparently this model is super popular in China. I asked the salesperson attending to me, he said, i can try asking in late Nov But he thinks the chances are very low. The shop sells only XiaoMi product.
The Mi 5S Plus i bought is higher by about $40. They offer 1 to 1 exchange for the first 7 days follow by 1 year warranty.

I'm not related to them in anyway. Just wanna share with those interested to get the Mix, if you are patient enough Cheers

China rom with those China apps, some can remove. You set English as the main. Expecting global rom in Nov or Dec.
