yes i did.
Currently running CM13 on my rooted Mi5. 

TWRP can be a bit cranky at times and refuse to response... sometimes need to reboot a few times to get it working the way it should.
But when it work, it is a breeze

Which method did you use to flash twrp and were you on miui 7 or 8? I managed to unlock the bootloader but can't flash twrp using the method documented on en.miui.com/thread-309596-1-1.html

Definitely worth it. if you compare with mi5s, people are complaining the mi5s fingerprinter sensor, very inaccurate, took many times to unlock the phone.
mi5 also has IR blaster, working Android pay.

Anyway the one I'm looking at is 32gb model. It should be the snapdragon 820 but hexa core version. Wondering if it's going to be a flagship worthy experience or its just going to be like my current iphone plus model ?

I read a lot of good reviews about mi5 but most are using the 64gb variant for reviewing.
