Hi all, I have bought an extra Google pixel in quite black, XL, 32gb from a recent trip in New York. I have the receipt and it's not opened. My boyfriend bought one at the same time and we used his during the trip, front facing camera quality is amazing.
My brief review:
Photos are very clear and captures more details than other phone cameras. We are especially pleased with the selfies against gorgeous mountain backdrops and even night photos are better compared to our existing Samsung, nexus and iPhone. We took it to the test when taking aurora night sky with pixel under -30degrees, it survived for around same time as iPhone and Samsung, but Nexus won it handsdown in extreme cold. Although, photo quality is the worst in Nexus so it doesn't help. We ended up using a digital camera with tripod. In terms of usability, it's the same as Nexus. You get unlimited Google photos storage with the email you register with the phone I believe. We use Google photos for all holiday photos as it's much easier to add contributors for photo sharing. Unlimited storage certainly helps.
As I said, it's a brief review. I will be getting another pixel for myself in Jan (as a present) hence can post more reviews then. So I've an extra set for sale. Please PM me if interested! Fyi - quite black in XL was sold out in US online store when I was there. I had to go through quite tedious ways to get it by physically visiting various electronic stores in NYC.
