One problem that Xiaomi has yet to fix for months in MIUI 8 is the low volume output of YouTube via earpiece.

So, when you blast the volume up watching YouTube at 80%. Please remember that you have got to lower it to 50%, at least before switching to mp3 or mp4 via earpiece only.

Just an advice so not to get blasted and then fainted.

I'm serious about the ninjavan man. If you always have someone at home to sign off parcels, when you receive the message that it has been delivered do confirm at home that it actually has been delivered and signed off - i have heard that they leave it around the house, and 'someone' signs off for it, etc.

$329 is very tempting now!

So the 3 main places are:
- Simder @ Q10
- Newstar @ Shopee
- Simder @ Lazada?

which of these do flash to the global rom if not already, would you know? Not v good at these things, so would ideally like to be able to use it out of the box.

My Qoo10 delivery guy is worse. Just dumped the parcel in front of my door even it is a rainy day and my parcel got wet and then sms me, not once but repeatedly even after I complained to Qoo10.

This guy is the worst delivery man I have ever met in my life. Lol..

Simder should flash to global rom for you be it from qoo10 or shopee or Lazada.

Newstar is a pure and authentic PRC China rom seller. They will not entertain you unless it is a service recovery situation as one bro had encountered here before.

Last time Singpost send parcels to wrong household not once but twice, lucky neighbor is nice enough to pass it back.
I just kept saying parcel not received until the delivery guy come find me, request me to sign delivery sheet. I just refuse he also can't do anything, not sure what happened to him.

Me too! Not sure which apk is the culprit. I downloaded OGYOUTUBE and ADGUARD.

i am using both for few years now no issue with both make sure download ogtube from xda forum and it will point to the right one not any random website

I have installed adguard premium but uninstalled it since it is running in the background with 70MB of RAM.

you guys got install those firewall thingy?

my setting for adguard off firewall and choose speed vpn not the quality one using adguard has managed to save me a lot of data off my monthly bill

any advantages or disadvantages of upgrading to miui v8.1.4.0?

best rom so far for me is 8.1.2 save battery dont install 8.1.4 it drain the battery and both notification led is not working just fyi

Also, the Mi Sound Profile bug is there too be it in speaker or earpiece mode.

Once you enable it, the volume just drops and "washed out". You need to close and clear the current media app to recover the volume.

Having said that, without the Mi Sound Profile, the quality of the audio output is already quite awesome already provided you use a reasonably good earpiece.

I use a LG Quadbeat 2 earpiece.

These 2 bugs are waiting for Xiaomi to fix. They have acknowledged the bugs since many versions back. Therefore, just wait. The bugs are not that critical.

My 128 was delivered at 1030am by a young Indian Ninja.

I asked him WTF happened to my delivery.

His reply;

"Sometime, the delivery guy lazy and bochap, they rabak rabak and choose which item to deliver according to their liking after picked up from seller...bla bla bla.."

That tells you why my item was picked up on 26th, and they rabak rabak and only want to deliver today as today is the deadline.....KNN indeed lor.

Ninjavan really has bad service and reputation. I will write a strong worded complaint to Ninjavan.

It is confirmed a China set and has been unboxed and flashed to global rom by simder. I'm charging it now before I perform a reflash on my own.

Not necessarily, as some sellers may sell export sets from China but they may help you load Global ROM too depending on the sellers.
