RE: clarification on global rom vs china rom

hi all , may i understand since i buying a export set from sls (finger cross) . if kanna auto update will it brick?

global rom or china rom ? i tried to research but managed to land this page . thanks ...

noob mi user .

No lah! If kena auto update is a good thing be it Global or China rom.

If no auto update, then problem! That means the preloaded rom on your set is not an official rom from Xiaomi!

Global rom for us! China rom doesn't have google stuffs even though you can install them manually!

Most seller in SLS will preload your set with Global rom for buyers even though their set are imported from China with China rom originally..

I tell you what. Call the seller to ask them to load the Global rom for you either before or after your have placed order!

Something not normal with miMax audio config or output. I'm using mPos, a credit card payment reader, successfully on redmi 1/note 2, 3, Asus phone, LG tablet and other junk phones, all worked.

But both miMax can't initialize the reader and keep timeout.

Can't be anything to do with volume, what else could it be?

Anyone has a good car mount to recommend?

I was very interested in getting the iOttie Easy One Touch 3, however it can only fit devices up to 3.5 inches in width. The Mi Max is already 3.48 inches and even with a thin TPU cover it will exceed 3.5 inches.

I don't really like magnetic type car count though.

Appreciate if anyone can suggest here. Thanks.

Just found out about this recently.... i was thinking i did not disable any apps why need to enable anything. so did not went to apps to check it out until last week.

Why would they disable any apps by default

I dun think so they did disable it. As I tried to disable some Google apps, I can see all apps on the mi Max is enable.

Just checking with u for the magnetic mount, can u care to explain why u dun like it? Like mounting the car mount yo the fan grill a bit hard to do it or what etc?

No lah, i was driving a civic 1.5 vti manual back then, that's why nick is Vtim

Collected my Max 12GB silver , paid $334 after $5 coupon discount on Shopee.
