As CRCT distributes income half yearly, I will be receiving DPU of 2.37c (4Q2016) and 2.36c (3Q2016) for a total of 4.73c in March. Annualising the DPU gives me a distribution yield of 6.75%.

Can translate? Why 2016? :s11::s11::s11:

Again, why did I choose to invest in FLT and CRCT in an environment of rising interest rate which would impact their cost of doing business eventually? You blur? I also blur.

Why why why??? :s11::s11::s11:
the divy recently is paying from income generated in the last 2 reported quarters.

as to why he invest in reits while ir increasing... my answer will be cos these reits can increase dpu even with increasing ir.

this is a good read from ttj...especially the part on retail investors,
speaks alot of my own weakness.

How do human weaknesses empty your pockets? If one initially makes money, greed usually makes him gradually increase his positions until his biggest holdings are always at, or near, the top of the market in the intermediate or long term. When the correction or crash comes, due to heavy exposure, there is a necessity to cut positions at dramatically low prices resulting in big losses.

Fear makes one miss investing in the market when shares are at bargain basement levels. Fear always is the major hindrance to exploiting good opportunities.

Impatience leads one to invest when good opportunities have not arrived, thus committing resources in a unproductive manner and finding oneself in a ‘no-bullet’ situation when the opportunities finally come.

Usually for a good portfolio
The top few reits should be blue chips like cmt cct areit
Then come down to the mid cap reits which should form a smaller %
Example if allocate 30% portfolio into reits
Blue chip reits 15% mid cap reits 15%
Or blue chip reits 15% mid cap reits 10% small cap reits 5%

Something like that

Sounds like my portfolio :)

7 REITs now, plan to divest 1 and reduce to 6.

My reit portfolio
Current two blue chips cct cmt
3 mid caps mct sun fct

My expectation is mct or sun becomes blue chip
So end up will become 3 blue chips and 2 mid caps

My current stock portfolio 8 blue chips
4 mid caps mct sun fct m1

2/3 blue 1/3 mid cap - considered conservative stock portfolio

Those age 20-30 should be more aggressive
Maybe something like
40% blue chips as base
30% mid caps
30% small caps

Also fine, at the end of the day see your risk appetite and comfort zone
If u got big balls 100% small caps also fine

Cheers
