Really confused with the whole balloting procedure! I saw elsewhere online someone mentioned that if you work as a civil servant/for the government it is easier to get a flat?
But isn't everything computer balloted? 😰

yes. that is right. but logically speaking, every 2.9 applications, or 3 applications, only 1 will GET A CHANCE to choose. doesn't meant that they will get a good number too.

Someone posted for bedok 4rm around 930+ people applied using mcps out of the total 2800.

Since my tamp had 1162 people, I doubt many will use mcps. *trying to an wei myself*

First priority for mcps, I would say 4rm too small for couples wanna have kid.

So it would left the 2nd priority. I'm expecting at least 20% - around 170 people fighting for 88 units.

Ahhhh going crazy :(:(:(:(

You are right. There is no such things nowadays.

(Maybe old days like the 60s la, it's true because quarters was provided for by the state for civil servants.)

Thanks. Meaning chances are low?

Gahmen say 2 out of 5 will drop out.

But from experience, if your number is within 120% of the flat supply, got chance for a decent unit. Factor in 20-30% drop out rate.

Don't think so much. It is all statistical probability. I hoped you have given yourself a mathematically good selection when you chose your unit and estate.

Does that include ethnic quota too?

Mine is around 110% :s22:

Law of large number will take care of that. I normally factor in drop out rate according to the site of the plot only.

Because the 84% Chinese quota is a little intimidating.. makes the required number of drop out and other ethnic group a lot more.

You not Chinese? imo the racial quota is hard for the other races. But most of my Malay friend with 5hit numbers got a unit because their racial quota wasn't filled.

Yea, in this thread it certainly looks like it and I also wonder why.

1. Maybe too expensive? Coz second timer for Clementi is super high, like through the roof (20-30x), so I guess to a certain extent it may be an affordability thing.

2. Is it that the NorthArc is a bad bet? i don't know, just guess due to its seemingly far distance from the MRT. Peak seems too good a location (pls correct me if i'm wrong)

3. Or maybe it just happens that the people who are after clementi are just not posting here haha

What do the Pung-goers think? =D

Donated $10 for Clementi too. Parents and SO's parents live in CCK, so it's considered near for us.

Peak seems to be the better development in terms of accessibility by far. Pricing seems to be premium, but it's clementi, after all.

I think the only down side of this round's Clementi BTO is it's quite far from MRT. Even peaks is not exactly near... It's kind of a awkward distance.

If only it can be closer to MRT then clementi is perfect! Can go Jurong shop shop and not squeeze with everyone else in town :s12:
