No matter which model it is, it's worth a try to update step by step to B10 first ... then upgrade to Nougat. What do you lose anyway ? .....nothing rite....

Don't have. Bought direct from China via Ali Express and they disabled the OTA update function. I think it's a modded ROM that's why not recognized during Recovery Mode update from SD card also....

Yup, I also notice that mine which I bought form Ali Express A2017 unable to get OTA, so I installed the Original rom from the ZTE website and now I get OTA for the latest patch for the Nougat. Mine version is ZTE_A2017V1.1.0B11

7.1 update is out for A2017G devices on either B11 or 7.0 via OTA
Side note: remove SD card when updating
Not too sure if it's just me but i couldn't update until i took out my SD card
First change i saw was the setting icon change

Nice, I removed the sd card but still no update leh. It's a local unlocked set. Is it a rolling update?

OTA for B11 is only for certain countries, especially for Netherlands as it was to fix some problems there.
You will need to download both B10 and 7.0 on Germany's ZTE site.
Apply B10 update before 7.0 update.
After 7.0 update is done check for updates. There should be a OTA about 400MB in size
Here's the website for B10 and 7.0 update packages

Don't worry, it will be in English when you update as it follows the language you set on your phone

Got A2017G Nougat 7.1.1 OTA Update V1.2.0B01 installed, but I get problems with Play store. All installs will always get stuck with "Waiting for network".

One way around this is to set Play Store not to auto-update and then uninstall Play Store updates from Settings->Apps.

Fixed it by doing a factory reset. Now is Play Store is functioning OK.

Download went smoothly
Have u tried doing a reboot after the update?
I always do one after every update

Thanks bro, update successful. Never thought of all manufacturers, outside of Google itself, ZTE will be the first outside of Google with 7.1.1.
My wife is currently using it and she has no complaints
