Recommended Taiwan Driver - Jacky aka Ah Hui aka Shuai Hui 帅辉 (meaning Handsome Hui)

My family and I engaged Ah Hui as our driver during our Taiwan trip. We have 3 adults 2 kids. We used his service for 3 days. He picked us from the day we touched down at Taoyuan Airport and headed to Miaoli and Taichung. He waited patiently for us for almost 2 hours despite we were stucked in the super long queue at Taoyuan Airport immigration. All I can say is that he is patient, easy going, punctual and approachable. His car is clean and spacious, we were seated comfortably, fell asleep umpteen times and he drives safely! My family and I strongly recommend him to anyone who needs a driver in Taiwan. Overall, we are very pleased with his service! Even my nephew and niece like him!

On the last day when we are flying back to SIN, we also engaged him to send us to Taoyuan Airport but too bad he couldn't make it in the end and he arranged another driver to send us to the airport.

Do quote him as Shuai Hui 帅辉 (Handsome Hui) when you contact him and you might get an even more better deal!

We (a group of 6 good friends) just came back from Taiwan on 16 Apr'17.

We had started searching for a tour guide/driver few months before our Taiwan trip. After reading through the reviews in this forum and calling a few of them, we decided to engage Ah Hui aka 帅辉 services for 3 days to go to Taichung, Cingjing and Taipei.

We are extremely happy with his service. He is patient, approachable and punctual. He is not just a driver, but also our professional photographer. He even treated us to some of the local delights.

He is using a 9-seats car with wheelchair access. The car is clean and installed with TV-screen. During our travel, we had managed to catch some of nice Taiwan movies e.g. 那些年，我们一起追的女孩.

I strongly recommend him to anyone who needs a safe and friendly driver in Taiwan.

On the last day of his service, I accidentally left my jacket in his car, but he made an effort to deliver it back to me even at 11pm that night.

Thumb-up for his enthusiasm and professionalism in his work. And do call him Shuai Hui 帅辉, he will be very happy.

Hi I am going to taiwan and i am thinking of taking a cab from Taoyuan Airport to Sun Moon Lake for 2 days. Thereafter, i will be touring in Taipei which i can take bus/train. There will only be 2 of us so i do not need a huge car.

just checked the rate for 1 day Jiufen/ShiFen/HuangJin Waterfall/Keelung/TP for 6 adults & 1 infant, is this the normal rate?

1 driver quoted NTD5500 for 8 to 10 hours.
Another driver quoted NTD4500 for 8 hours. NTD500/hour if exceed 8 hours.
Contacted one of the highly recommended driver from this forum, but no response.

For your group size of 7 and custom itinerary of Jiufen, Shifen, Golden Waterfall, Keelung, I think about NTD 5000 is reasonable. Both NTD 5500 for 10 hours and NTD 4500 for 8 hours sound fair too. A bit slow lah.. I used to fast driving. Maybe he want us to admire the scenery more. Except for this, everything else about him I will give thumbs up. He is very 尽心尽力 type, he is not obligated to walk with us to 十分瀑布 (a long walk!) but he insisted walking with us.. Just to take pictures for us! He really put in a lot effort in bring us around I feel damn paiseh.. Even patiently waited for us to shop finish 夜市 which is close to midnight and send us back to hotel. Even for hotels and 名宿， he help us to bargain down the prices which save us quite a sum of money. He bring us around to eat nice food like he knows which stalls or eatery is most popular one. A very service oriented guy and definitely very easy going.
He is very resourceful knows many nice places and 名宿。 one thing for sure he is very honest. Will tell us price or if owner give him benefit for bringing us to the place, he will distribute to us also. Haha.

Went Taiwan with my family earlier this month and I would highly recommend Pudding (布丁) if you're still looking for a driver to bring you to your destination. Imo his pricing is reasonable (neither high nor low) but service is good!

Appreciate his kind gestures of helping to open/close the door and ensured that everyone is well seated. He also helped to put my wet sneakers on his car roof to dry when we're having lunch at the restaurant (Rmb to take off your shoes when you are visiting the beach at Yilan ).

His 6-seater Wish is well maintained and journey was comfortable as his driving skills is good. Rest assured that you'll have a safe journey throughout.

Colleagues with family had recently went to Taiwan and engaged him. They had a good time, eating and enjoying the best of Taiwan. Safety is critical and he demonstrated good senses to Ensure his passengers were safe. If you feel that he is driving too fast, let him know, he can moderate it.
