The scene can be done on the switch level as well at the controller level....

For example, i have 3 lighting switches in the living room, i can use 3 keys to control the individual lighting point because i might not need to switch on all 3 lighting point at the same time.

If i do need all lighting point to be switch on, i can either physically on the 3 switches or i can program 1 switch than will switch on all 3 lighting at the same time

To me, the physical control are for more generic scene, the more dynamic scene will be done via the apps.

example, scene for movie etc.....

Furthermore Insteon, Amazon Echo and Logitech Harmony are natively compatible so i believe there will be more automation that i can play with....

Meanwhile, still waiting for my friend to pass me the Harmony Elite.....
Manage to integrate Harmoney Elite with Amazon Echo and Insteon.

The Harmony Elite open up a wide range of options since it can control most of my electrical appliances....

Oh I see, but if scenes are controlled at two levels, will you experience contradictory signals? You have to be careful

Hi,
I need help on this.

I got my Echo Dot and Broadlink RM Pro.

I plan to have my Echo Dot and broadlink pro placed in the living room.

Does this mean that my Echo and Broadlink can only be used in the living room?

If I wish to also have it control my bedroom'a aircon and lights, do I need another set of Echo Dot and Broadlink RM Pro?

HI, anyone using MCO Home touch panel switches?

And considering between getting that and momentary switches (plus modules).

Yes, con of using MCO home touch panel is that I have to change the whole switch if its faulty - compared to only changing only the module in the second option. But MCO is pretty.

QNS: Does the MCO home touch panel still work IF z wave technology is down? Can I use it to switch on and off lights etc manually?

By the way, I have asked around. I asked for quotes from curtains makers, the motorised tracks around $1200+++ per track. But if you are not going to DIY, some of those smart home companies can charge you at half the price. I was quoted $1250 for 2 somfy motorised tracks (1x 3.3m, 1x 3.8m).

I know because I am intending to install the motorised track but I am not doing DIY setup for my smart home.
