Sony just need to do an official price drop of PS4 Pro of USD50 (SGD80), announce release date of God of war and spider-man for this year end and they will already 'won'.

Some of you guys may thing the Xbox One X is 'cheaper' but take a look at Neogaf...the US people are actually majorly upset it is going to be USD499....

Also, noticed the message for many of these Xbox One X 'exclusive' games. Noticed there are about 4 - 5 'Xbox Console Exclusive' titles followed by about 10 'Xbox Console launch exclusive' titles.....basically maybe the Xbox version will come out 1 day/week in advance before the PS4 version.....like for example that DBZ fighting game...no way Namco Bandai is gonna release that game only on Xbox as anime games sell a truckload on PS4...especially in Asia (where Xbox presence is akin to Windows Phone here).

seriously though...i see mostly current Xbox owner to upgrade...i don't see any current PS owners wanting to switch...the teraflops number sounds great but if us console gamers really cares about that, we would have gotten a PC already........

and of course most important thing is the games.....MS didn't bring it. Where are the games. A new Forza. Yippie. Sea of Thieves. Ermm..okay. Crackdown 3....that game looks like a mess IMO.

we are now back to PS2 vs OG Xbox all over again....

Keep on harping 6TFLOPS all you want. But this 'spec comparison' is literally what early android users also tried to wave in front of IOS users (as android phones always got more ram, cpu speed than IOS)........but the IOS got more 'exclusive' apps early on......(obviously Android catches up later on to IOS but it is more due to the low-end android phones than your Samsung Galaxy S8)....

These continuous harping on 'TRUE' 4K, 6TLOPS is almost back to the 90s school yards battle of 16bit systems....Sega Megadrive/Genesis got Blast Processing! Nintendo processor is so slow!!! Nintendo failed!! PSP so much higher end than DS!!! It's gonna eat nintendo's lunch!!! etc etc etc.....

Got a feeling Sony will have official price drop on the ps4, since they already dropped $50 on the gold ps4 temporarily. But I don't think will drop by $50, cos if they announce permanent $50 drop now then that gold ps4 price doesn't make sense, timing not right. Maybe they will announce price drop a month later instead of now?

They might be prepared to have a bigger drop on the pro price, but with x1x price being higher than expect, Sony is not under pressure to drop the price much.

$30 on the slim and pro will be good liao, not expecting much. Price drop is more like to put pressure on the Switch than the xb1x.

About x1x price, a lot of ppl were expecting it to be 399 if it wants to be competitive. Not surprising that ppl are disappointed with 499. $499 was what Sony gotten booed at E3 when they announced PS3 (the most powerful console at that time).

actually i don't care about which console has more horsepower. remember they are still being held back by the OG XB1.

i am jus comparing the price against the current PC equivalent (GTX1070)
but of course i still think it is overpriced given the architecture is from 2013 or earlier (refer to my older post)

actually the console landscape is very different from 6th gen. they are chasing after the PC market as well.

Why not US$399 for the X1X? I bought my PS4 Pro for SG$509. Just $10 more than $499.

I dont see why sony need to drop price for ps4 and pro. $499 with no games vs $399 with a bunch of exclusives to boast, they already win by default. And nintendo isnt a threat, its clear that the switch and ps4 can co-exist with different selling points.

More likely is the ps vr might get a price drop as they are lacking first party titles now, dropping the hardware price can help boost sales if the rumor about sony increasing ps vr production is true. The latest farpoint bundle can sell better too, i dont imagine it doing very well so far despite the reviews.
