Help with Singtel VLAN tagging

I'm really a noob when it comes to this.
The presets in the router (RT2600AC) don't work so i'm trying manual settings.
What do i put in these boxes?
I only need to use Port 4 for TV.

how about the tagged and untagged?

Lol. It's a synology router right?

Make sure the settings are as follow,

Internet 10 prio 0 untagged

Iptv 20 prio 4 tagged.

i switched from ac87u to synology

sick of asus

always got problem with it.. ac87u was especially bad.

something wrong with synology firmware i think


VLAN tagging and ISP settings don't work with MIO TV.

solved it by adding a smart switch and doing the VLAN tagging in there.

sick of asus

always got problem with it.. ac87u was especially bad.

Can I ask how are you liking the RT2600ac? Would you recommend it?

There is a sale at Storage Studio for $329 and that looks like quite a good price.

Doesn't work.
Had to buy a managed switch and did VLAN tagging on the switch for my Singtel TV to work.

Synology Rt2600ac does support vlan tagging since firmware v1.0.1-6007.

Synology even wrote up a guide on vlan tagging on its website. How can it not work?

Do note singtel tv needs priority 4 to work. Or else it won't. Make sure you plug the Singtel tv connection to the assigned ethernet port too..

Their vlan tagging interface is so basic. And there's must be something wrong with it. I know how to vlan tag. It just doesn't work with the synology interface. Gave up and bought a managed switch and it works fine.

Just saw a new firmware on 24 aug.

It says that IPTV not working in some instances have been fixed. I'll give it a go later.

after reporting the issue to them in early july, the issue has finally been fixed in the 24 august firmware..

use singtel-others preset and singtelTV will work flawlessly.

guess i can get rid of my managed switch already.

That's good to hear.. Or else I really can empathise with you the pain of getting something that doesn't really work..

That's great.

How do you like the RT2600ac as a router? It's not too popular here on HWZ since a lot of people stick to the usual Netgear/Asus.
