Yah I saw the review on youtube.
Basically as long as I can check and reply my email is already good enough for me. Is basically a tablet when I bring for business trip.

I have a surface pro and a teclast x98 plus II.
somehow I convince myself I do need an 8" tablet.

for email, youre better off with a phone. The advantage for 8 inch is much lighter than 10 inch at the expense of battery life. It can also charge while being usēd which is good to make as spare pc once battery dies.

PPSSPP is also just nice at 8 inch and use in landscape mode

Review is good but like very few ppl buying Lapbook 14.1 on Taobao. Few real user review.

How about Jumper ezbook3. Also 14.1" Apollo lake.

Anyone heard before this brand called Uniscom/紫光电子???

I quite like the specs of their 10.1' MZ65plus phablet...

Finally got my hands on the MZ65plus...

These are actual the specs using CPU-Z

Weight and feel a bit like the Galaxy Tab...

Response wise quite good.. Not extremely quick but better than expected for a tablet this price. Display is bright and clear. Most games I tried run smoothly.

Negatives are:
1. **see edit notes below**

2. Although the Android version is 6.0, I can't install any apps that have a minimum requirement of Android 6.0, Marshmallow API 23. This device is currently running on API 22... Therefore will get a 'problem parsing package' error when attempting to install apps for API 23 and above. .... :( Hopefully the manufacturer will come up with a firmware update soon...

3. Sound through the on board speakers is quite average .... It's ok with earphones or Bluetooth speakers.

Overall its an OK device for surfing, reading and watching shows. I use it mainly to read e-books and Manga.

***Edit:
Managed to get around the issue of no Google play store and play services by rooting with Kingroot and then running the 谷歌安装器 app. The Tablet now has full Google apps functionality.

The clockspeed seems fishy. MT6753 shouldn't be able to clock up to 2GHZ. Should only go up to 1.5ghz. The info displayed in CPU Z might not be accurate. It seems to be a quad core CPU to me. Maybe you can try AIDA64 and see wad it says.

It is octa-core..... But you are right... It's max is only 1.5Ghz.

It MIGHT BE MT6737 because the last 4 cores is always "sleeping" and the last pic of the CPU Z only detected 4 CPU cores and the 1st 4 cores are capped at 1.3ghz.

I'm saying this because I kena once before. Bought a similar 9.8" 16:10 tablet from aliexpress that claims to have octa core MT6592 in it with a 2560x1440 resolution and 4GB RAM but it felt really weird because it only cost $90USD which was very cheap. The Scrolling on the tablet didn't felt smooth either(around 30fps only instead of 60) and I had a few tablets to compare with and the display didn't look like 1440p at all even though most if not all apps are reporting it to be with MT6592(4 cores are always sleeping but MT6592 is an octa core) with 1440p. Not until it died 2 months later that I opened it up and found that it's only MT6582 quad core with 1GB of RAM. Display was only 1280x800 after Google searching the panel ID. Just want everyone to be careful when getting these 9.8"/10" 16:10 tablet. Since AIDA64 is reporting it to be 6753, should be safe ba.

How is this possible? The API level tied to the Android version. If it is a Android 6.0, then it should support apps using API level 23.

https://source.android.com/source/build-numbers

Is it some other problems like not enough memory or lack of certain sensors to run those apps? That's why Google Play filters them from you?

not sure why leh.... I was just playing around the device and was manually downloading apks from apkmirror... those apps meant for API 23 all get error parsing package, especially apps by Google.... while apps meant for API 22 are ok to install.

for all those who ordered from gearbest, etc..

if you order and get free shipping,

does the stated shipping cost on the envelope count towards hitting the GST target?

eg. tablet is $380 but the envelope says shipping is equivalent of $30, even though you had free shipping.

Singapore customs will look at what seller declare. If seller reflect actual value of item below $400, no problem. I bought a 40 inch TV before and seller declared $200, no problem
