Is a 128GB iPhone an overkill?

Intend to put songs into iPhone, non-English songs as English songs can use Spotify...


Is getting a 128GB iPhone for myself overkill?

Yes, if you dont take and store lots of photos.

Even if you do have lots of photos, maybe cheaper to get less storage but sign up for iCloud.

else if your whatsapp group chat always a lot of photo or video also quite fast to consume storage

I aiming for SE 128GB but also thinking of 7 32GB. People have been saying I am shortsighted for choosing SE as it is generations behind

Yeap, I did. I used to sign up for 50GB but later upgraded to 200GB due to large iCloud Photo Library dated from 2011 (after clean-ups occasionally), several backed up devices to iCloud and storing documents in iCloud.

But in iOS 11, I have upgraded to the 2TB subscription to share within the family as Family Sharing. Thus, instead of each having 50GB-200GB, cheaper to share the same amount of storage space, as some uses more and some using lesser data than others.

The 200GB or even 50GB should be sufficient enough. Am using iCloud as when I’m overseas (or in SG), it can automatically backup and if there’s any issues with the iPhone, I can pop in to any Apple Stores and need be to replace the iPhone, I can restore the data immediately without the need of iTunes or going back to get a computer.

I’m the only one on iOS 11 and the rest of the family is still on iOS 10.

Activated the Family Sharing for iCloud storage on my device, and works on iOS 10. It also reflects the increase of overall storage on their devices.

new series of iphones don't have 128gb, which makes 128gb just nice and 64gb too little with 256gb as overkill
