Looks like a permanent price drop rather than sale, these games have "PS4 Greatest Hits" edition (basically the same game just reduced price) released physically, the digital versions are discounted as well.

I don't see any pattern, the duration also changes all the time. Like this one, I just happened to check while my game is loading level, surely it must have started before 11:30pm. I remember the sale happening many times during timing convenient to us.

As for the flash sale, can check out the Canada store prices. Many of the items are cheaper on the Canada store (Canada currency is almost 1:1 with SGD, whereas USD needs that pcgamesupply 30% to be near SGD).

hi pierce, is there any diff between US and Canada PS+ member then? or they are treated the same like us in PS+ Asia?

US and Canada are separate countries in the same region, so a Canada account can only access Canada psn store, make purchases using Canadian currency, subscribe to Canada PS+. It has no access to US psn store. However the contents on US and Canada psn stores are almost completely identical, and they have the same sales, same PS+ free games.

The difference is that many games, especially indies and older titles, are cheaper on Canada psn store. Like a game priced USD 10 on US store may be priced CAD 10 on Canada store - the same numerical value but different currency. Converting to SGD, USD is about 1.5x, Canada is about 1:1, so Canada is cheaper.

Note that Flash Sales typically do not have further discount for PS+ members, so if you have a Canada account but no a Canada PS+ member, you are still paying the same price. (Typically the weekly sales do have additional PS+ discounts.)

thanks pierce. saw pcsupply selling canada ps+ and thought of getting it. however, its not available for those outside the region, i guess. =:p

It is available (ie. pcgamesupply sells it to) those outside Canada. However it is applicable to Canada psn account only (*), which you can easily create (though subsequently to fund your Canada psn account's wallet you need to buy the Canada psn cards from pcgamesupply too).

Actually the (*) part is not completely correct. If you buy the Canada PS+ code from pcgamesupply, instead of redeeming the code using a Canada psn account, you can redeem it on a US psn account. So basically you get US PS+ subscription at a lower price. I have done this earlier this year and it worked (presumably still works?). This trick does not apply to stored value psn cards though (cannot buy Canadian dollar cards and redeem on US account).
