Sad. I was trying to sell it at $150. Seems like not possible...

Going to pm you regarding the battery.
Just sold wife's RN3-X10 (32gb) $180, with 20+ low ballers, only 2 keen buyers. Upgrade to RN3- SD/32g for $195. Mum's RN2 16gb,can sell for $130, not bad already. Myself MiMax.
Xiaomi family, previously Samsungs..lol

Did any of you have problem with Redmi Note 2 battery bulging up? After using this phone for around 7-8 months, I noticed the phone's screen curving up and initially I thought is the tampered screen protector coming off so I just keep pressing the screen back. After a while again, I got fed up and took nearer look then realise it's bulging from inside. Open up the back cover and saw the battery bloated up like about 2mm. Immediately stopped using and bought a replacement battery from tmall, but sadly Xiaomi never released original before, so I had to make do with whichever seller's reviews is more legitimate.
Last night I notice a slight bulge on my phone (new battery) AGAIN... Opened up, same thing but just not as bloated yet. So I did some Google on Chinese websites and found out it's actually not an uncommon issue. One of the thread actually teach to poke the bloated area with a needle. It's unsafe I know, so I took my precautions. I decided to try on the original battery. One prick and can hear a whizz of air coming out. And the bulge is really gone! So now I put the original battery back into the phone. Haha so I thought share some inputs I experimented. :)
But I guess overheating may be a problem for long, so just matter when I get a new phone... :(

You can get the battery from Sim Lim square level 2. Cannot remember the shop name. Is behind row one. BM45 is the model, around S$15. Xiaomi battery not so realible. My Redmi 1, Mi4i and Redmi note 2 all has this problem (local set).

Your sets also same problem as in the battery bloated up? Btw, the battery sold at that SLS shop also not original for Redmi Note 2 right? This model has to be the most short shelf life form Xiaomi... :(
Battery very hard to tell if original or not lor, what's more will scare explosion... :'(

If yours is same situation as my battery. Is the outer sticker peeling off from the battery pack already? If same, you will be able to peek in and see the bulge. Use a needle to poke at this bulge. You will hear a hissing sound as if gas leaking. But PLEASE do this with care since it's battery and there are chemical inside it.
But to be honest, give up using bah. Never know touchwood what may happen... :(

I recently upgraded from RN2 to RN4. When I opened the outer cover of the RN2 to remove the SIMs and move to the new phone, I noticed a light bulge in the battery. Inspite of the bulge, the battery was charging fine and working. But after reading this thread my hand very itchy, I poked the battery with a safety pin. Suddenly the battery became very hot and bulged so much that it almost turned into a ball. I was scared it will blast. Then I again poked the battery and it came down to normal size. But I put it back into the phone and it is not charging anymore. Wasted :(

Anyways this phone has no resale value, doesn't make sense to replace battery and sell it also.

I think RMN2 was probably a flop thus they quickly pushed out RMN3 in very short time. As for the needle poking method, I think should be me posted here de. :p
I found this method in tw forum after much googling, because apparently there aren't many solutions out there. The bulge did subside for my case, but I was too scare to use le, so switched to RMN4...

Hi !

I notice that the battery reading when the phone is off and on are different. When it's off, it can say 80% or 90% but when switch on, it says 100%. Then I switch off, goes back to 80 or 90.
Anyone notice that ?
