It's a pity really.. I like the videos shot on iPhones, but the audio....just cannot make it. Hahaha
Hope the new Pixels will have better video capabilities!

sian i found someone whos keen on repairing but they charging $200...
same here. they say roughly estimate $200 cause they need to send the phone overseas to fix.![]()

i found a shop. my friend's friend works there. I place my pixel with them to repair. they will try, if they are not able to fix there's no fee, if they can fix it i will be charged lesser than $100
Hey guys, anybody got recommendation for places where I can get some clear cases for my pixel XL? Preferably with fast shipping/shop with ready stocks. Thanks!

Gen 1 pixel prices are super low in US now.... Is it still worth getting gen 1 Pixel in end-2017?
Just did a quick video on this. haha.
Anyway, if you don't want to see the video here's a quick summary. I think depends on how cheap you're talking about. US set doesn't support carrier aggregation here in SG FYI, so no 4G+ speeds.
For me i'm still using it as my main phone, and it's still worth it because of how good the camera is, and the unlimited original resolution uploads. And the unlimited uploads is not just for photos and videos taken by Pixel, just have to go through the Pixel's photos app, and it won't count against storage. When i share the original camera samples when reviewing phones, normally it will count against my Google Drive storage. With Pixel i just transfer to the phone and upload through there so won't eat up my google drive storage.
The performance is still really solid despite SD821. Like i'm reviewing the XZ1 Compact now, and speed and fluidity wise, it can still keep up with SD835 in the day to day stuff. But the downside is the thermal performance and battery efficiency, which is a very noticeable difference from the SD835. It gets warm a little bit easier, and battery life for me barely enough. Like on a busy day and i'm outside most of the time, maybe by late afternoon i need a quick top up already. But if at home and using Wifi, 1 day no issue.
It's not a perfect phone. Like there's no stereo speakers, and no water resistance, but it's one that I still choose over a lot of other flagship phones around.
But check the prices first. If top up a bit more can get the Pixel 2, then no-brainer, just get the Pixel 2. I'm just waiting to see the price and availability. haha.
