1:20 mark is interesting. Some reviews have said that iPhone X is "no good" as when you play videos, there will be 2 black strips at the left & right due to the unusual aspect ratio of the phone. But you can see the guy sort of "zooming in" just a wee bit and the video seems to fill the screen. Granted that may mean losing some of the top and bottom of the video though.
The part which triggers me more is Safari rendering white strips in landscape mode.

Making a mountain out of a molehill. Most flagships these days are 2:1 screen ratio hence the black strips are unavoidable and not unique to Apple iPhone.

*edit*

iPhone X specs lists the battery as 2716mAh while the iPhone 8 Plus has a 2691mAh battery so I guess similar battery life?

They can pack a 2700 battery inside iphone X which is the same size as a iphone 8 but give iphone 8 such a miserable battery.

I mean, even if you put a 2200 battery inside iphone 8 is still way bettery than current one. lol.

Battery life hard to gauge. Different screen size, different screen technology, the front camera, wonder if it's 'activated' the whole time

For OLED screens, as long as you use darker or black based theme, you will use less power but typically in the same ballpark lah

My contract's 24th mth ends next mth and lets say unable to pre-order or have to wait until early next year for stocks to stabilise, I'll just go for the 8 Plus direct.

Hi, apologies if this has been brought up but I tried to do a search in this forum and nothing came up. I am not exactly sure that the information I Googled are trustworthy either.

I am an Android user and I am thinking of trying out the iPhone X. However, I need to transfer my Whatsapp messages, particularly work related ones, over. Is there any workable way to do that? I don't mind paying a small fee for an app / program to do so.

Many thanks in advance for any assistance rendered. :)

Backup on Android is to Google Drive or phone memory/MSDHC. If WA on iOS can read the Android backup file, it would have been a piece of cake. Unfortunately, that doesn't seemed to be the case.
