Just did a quick video on this. haha.

Nice video as always Alex. :)

Gotta ask, on my Nexus 5X, when HDR+ is enabled and after every photo is taken, it takes an absurd amount of time for "processing" to take place before the shot is shown and ready for viewing. I assume this has since been rectified on the Pixel?

Reason why I asked is because I just recently updated my N5X to Oreo, and this issue is still there. I guess the N5X is really one of the lowest spots in Google phone history.

Seem like Facebook always fc for oreo. Googled and shocked to see so many reports on it.

Sent from Google PIXEL XL using GAGT

I seem FC on quite a few apps actually. like the phone always tell me bluetooth crashed. lol. but doesn't affect functionality much though.

It still takes like a second or 2 but a lot faster than nexus 6p and 5x. :)

Download and use camera NX instead of the stock cam. Camera NX has ZSL enabled, which processes HDR+ in background. It won't make HDR processing faster, but at least can take more continuous shots on HDR+ auto without waiting for HDR+ processing to be completed.

Thanks for the heads up Alex.

Thanks batboyz! Never heard of this app and am going to check it out. Yes, the main issue is waiting for the HDR+ to finish processing before taking more shots..indeed a PITA.

It is just an APK sideload that's on a newer version than the apk preloaded on your pixel 1. The google now right swipe pane and search are also butter smooth.

Also to note, google camera 5.0 apk has motion picture (circular icon) option while on 5.1 in google play it is disabled for this phone.

Someone posted on apkmirror the pix 2 launcher.

Hopefully both the camera and launcher don't get overwritten in coming otas.
