Tried the demo unit for WF-1000x @Stereo Vivo city.. Felt that the volume of the earbud is too soft.. For those who bought it, don't you feel the same thing too?

I think it’s ok. I tried with iPhone 7 Plus. What device did you test with

I used it on a 3 years years old phone, OnePlus One tho.. Tuned to the max volume still getting equivalent to half of the volume of the wired Sennheiser Momentum In-Ear (Wired)

I think is your phone Bluetooth chip ba. I am using Sennheiser momentum in ear Bluetooth. I tested the Sony Bluetooth models and the volumes are quite similar

Actually noise cancellation don't really work as good as many reviewers said.

There are sound which cannot be simply blocked out and there are sound that will actually amplify and sounds louder than usual for example door banging sound.

Technically, it appears to sound louder because all other sounds have been removed leaving only those that cannot be removed. Imagine you are at a cafe, it's very noisy, people talking, cutlery sounds, traffic noises, etc. Then with ANC, no talking noise, no traffic noise. BUT, you only hear cutlery sounds. So it gives you the impression that they are louder than before.

some talking still cannot be filtered, esp some ahem nationality :s22: talking very loudly in MRT.

Btw, other than the upcoming Pixel Bud... anyone found any bluetooth earphone which charges via USB-C yet?

Yes, for some reason android phones usually have softer volume than iphones.
I have a Samsung S8+ and find the Bluetooth volume really low.

Think is weaker Bluetooth connectivity. My Pioneer xdp 300r also have lower volumes

I refunded my WF-1000X after 5 days of use, because of 2 big glaring issues:
-1 to 2 sound delay on everything done on phone.
-Intermittent sound cut for few seconds to a minute. Movement seems to affect the stability of the connection. But sometimes I standing still in MRT also get sound cut.

Did anyone in Sony test this product before releasing it? Like holy ****.

Anyway, I went to Stereo in Plaza Sing to test WI-1000X, if it exhibit the same issues.
Excellent sound quality. No sound delay. Tried swinging my phone, no sound cut off. Then I bought it. Used in train, connection very stable, no sound cut off at all. Max volume also seems to be a little higher. Very happy with this WI-1000X
