I was also at suntec Harvey norman today... to feel the mate 10.

it was indeed warm to the touch but I think it's because it's constantly charging... it was less than 50%? so I don't think it's on supercharge. probably just a normal usb charging cable.

everything is as expected - camera, build, UI, etc. from what it's reported for its specs. quite snappy for me - no lag whatsoever. then again it was a fleeting test and not multitasking.

i'm waiting to feel the mate 10 pro when it arrives. hope it'll be soon. my contract ends 30 October actually (although it doesn't really matter as i'm intending to sign sim-only).

Maybe that guy is MichaelTan :s13:

No I'm not using yet. I only buy production units, those pre production ones are very much worse than production units. That's why your personal experience with Huawei phones better than review.

I went to Suntec Harvey Norman to try today.
1. Yes that's true, has a lot of fingerprint cos it's glass back. To be expected.
2. The set I played with wasn't warm.
3. UI was also ok for that set that I tested. No stuttering at all
4. Cam definitely had object recognition icon. I tested it with some Huawei brochures nearby, when I put it over the text the T icon came up, when I put the cam over a couple of faces the Portrait icon showed up. And the set wasn't connected to any internet so it's definitely AI built in.

go molest again just now. again the battery is just 3%..faint. they didnt charge it properly or what.

i think the reason it was warm / laggy / sluggish due to the battery saver mode? coz its just 3%...then i go in camera...have no idea where the object recognition. point here there nothing came out. where is it actually?

use the camera swing around then the phone off by itself...and the power button is very hot and the back glass panel is very warm.

Is there any problem with the battery for mate 10? Why always heard the battery low for display units.

Up for this. Couldnt find it too.

And the display i played with was very warm as well...not sure if it was due to the material/charging/just the phone

I feel that NPU with AI and appropriate productivity apps in a phone and Internet of things, we are moving into another realm. It is like having a supercomputer and enormous data at your fingertips. The possibilities are simply beyond imagination.

Today on MRT saw a guy holding a huawei phone, from back I can tell it's Mate 10, then I looked again, there is no button on front panel and there is a circle sensor at back. It's Mate 10 Pro. Wondering how he got it.

A handful of media reviewers have already received the unit to test. You could have seen one of them who went to the launch in Germany.
