Hmm I think I get the hang of it. Okay foreign currency aside since I don't spend much on this anymore.

So within a month $400 petrol + $600 local spending that's not petrol or paywave will be able to entitle 10X UNI am I right to say?

I'll only get the 10X on the $400 petrol spent at SPC whereas the remaining $600 will be based on $5 spent per 1 UNI$ awarded.

Hope that I understood correctly this time. Thanks alot guys

Oh by the way are there any way to keep track of the exact amount of UNI$ entitled per transaction? As what I seen UOB just credit a whole bunch without detailed listing.

Alternatively, am I able to check my history of UNI$ on their website?

Thanks thanks

Except that UOB is not issuing UNI$ or SMART$ for SPC while they are running the $3 off $50 spend promotion.

Hmm are you sure on this? I checked UOB website it states in their T&C that 10X UNI$ for petrol (except Shell), because Shell is SMART$ partnership.

Now I am really considering switching to UOB One Card as 2000 per month for 3 months will have $300 rebate.

$300 = 12,000 UNI$
Without the 10X, we will need to spend $60,000 to achieve this vs 6,000 with the 10X. This is quite alot and if they don't allow SPC to have 10X then it is hard to achieve $300 of 12,000 UNI$?
Which makes One Card much more worth it for rebate currently?

Pretty sure.

http://www.uob.com.sg/personal/cards/cards-privileges/fuel-power/spc.page

If you scroll down all the way to near the bottom of the page, just above the link to the FAQ, you'll find this.

"Note: No UNI$ will be issued for all transactions at SPC."

If you click on the FAQ (http://www.uob.com.sg/web-resources...s/cards-privileges/fuel-power/spc/faq-spc.pdf), Q8 is even more explicit in excluding SMART$ as well.

Q8. Do I earn UNI$ and/or SMART$ for my transactions at SPC?
A8. No UNI$ or SMART$ will be awarded on your UOB Card for any spend at SPC, unless
otherwise stated for any respective UOB Card entitled privileges.

Without the 10X, we will need to spend $60,000 to achieve this vs 6,000 with the 10X. This is quite alot and if they don't allow SPC to have 10X then it is hard to achieve $300 of 12,000 UNI$?

Well, depends on your spending pattern I guess. 10x on Paywave is particularly useful given how many places accept Paywave now.

Oh damn, just saw this! Wa like this I am going to change my VISA Signature to One Card... No point for me to use Signature since I don't use foreign currency much now.

Thanks alot man. I didn't know about this... which means I won't even get that $1 UNI for $5 spent at SPC.... I have been using this for 2 years without knowing!

I only looked at this, guessed I had been fooled!!!:

* UOB Visa Signature Cardmembers will earn UNI$ for all spend on their UOB Visa Signature Card. Cardmembers will earn UNI$1 for every S$5 spent on all transactions. Cardmembers will earn UNI$10 for every S$5 spent on transactions in foreign currencies, including online transactions in foreign currencies (with payment gateway outside Singapore), subject to a minimum foreign currencies spend of S$1,000 per statement period. Online transactions in Singapore Dollars or in foreign currencies at merchants with payment gateway in Singapore will earn UNI$1 for every S$5 spent. Cardmembers will also earn UNI$10 for every S$5 spent on petrol (except at Shell, which is a SMART$ merchant) and Visa payWave transactions (excluding SMART$ merchant), subject to a minimum local spend of S$1,000 in total, per statement period. Cardmembers can earn a maximum of UNI$4,000 for spend in foreign currencies (including online transactions in foreign currencies), petrol and with Visa payWave, per statement period, should they qualify. Award of Cash Rebate(s) will be credited to Cardmember’s UOB Visa Signature Card Account within three (3) statement periods to settle Card Transactions incurred on a Principal Cardmember’s Card or his/her Supplementary Cardmember’s Card (if any), subject to terms and conditions as stated here.

If you going for rebate of course UOB One is better. Not many people use uob signature for local spend cos easier to just use uob preferred platinum visa to get 10x points for paywave.

Yes regarding paywave, but paywave capped at $100 per transaction, big purchases will not be able to enjoy 10X... I use paywave pretty much everywhere available.

$1000 paywave most probably all on dining below $100, not hard to achieve but compared to One Card $6000 = $300 rebate = 12,000 UNI$

Yeah... that's is when I didn't know that SPC didn't qualify for 10X UNI$.... I always thought I got it... Thanks man

I do! Esp after the $1k earning cap on PPV. It's not difficult to find ways to manufacture spending to meet the $1k threshold for Visa Signature.

But that means 1k on paywave transactions, since SPC cannot entitle. Petrol spending is high on my list.

I guess the downside on UOB one card is the capped of 2k mthly per quarter, maxed at $300 rebate.

Does anyone know if SQ's payment gateway is in Singapore?

I am looking at changing my award flights and was told I will be charged US$20 per person. Was thinking of using this card until it dawned on me that SQ's payment gateway might be in Singapore?
