This phone uses proprietary dash charge for quick charge. It comes with charger and cable. If you need additional set, you need both charger and cable becos cable also proprietary

I bought my OP5 from OP HK in June this year and had it shipped to Borderlinx. No issues with shipping.

Correct me im not wrong, for nov 21st release date it's only available in three countries, which is USA, UK and India. The others wont be available until later on.

Planning to get this phone. Should i buy directly from oneplus website (USA), then use forwarder ship to SG or wait until qoo10 got sell??

Not sure how long need to wait for qoo10 to have seller. Oneplus website can purchase on 21 nov.

If not urgent then might be better to wait.
Wait for those full reviews to come out, see got any problems/quirks first.

Hmm, need to wait for actual reviews. Dunno if the low light camera really works or not. Doesn't seem impressive from the comparison videos.

One plus never have any impressive camera IMO. They are however decent and will get the job done in most situations. But if you really want a good camera, i rather you go for something else like the pixel 2.

OnePlus phone is famous for their snappy fluid operation...camera is mediocre..but like what Rag said..can get job done~

I'm coming from a Nexus 6P 128GB. So initially my only choice was the P2XL 128GB. But seriously now I'm not willing to spend >$1600 to import it. Also I'm not on Singtel, I can't recontract yet and I'm not willing to downgrade to 64GB.

So I'm going for the next cheaper alternative. My 2 options now are OP5T or Essential Phone. For less than half the price, I'm willing to let go of timely android updates or even no proper support after Android P.. just gonna depend on developer scene on updates..

So next thing would be cameras, I just want something that's at least on Nexus 6P level. The essential phone cameras still seem to lose to Nexus 6P but the OP5T seems promising.

Unless you tell me even OP5T cameras still lose out to a 2 year old phone, then I nothing to say liao, only wait to strike 4D and then go buy P2XL...

There is always google camera apk alternative for those who are into camera. I would rather spend $700+ on op5t and install google camera than spending 1.3k+ on pixel 2 XL just for the camera.

Essential phone has really beautiful hardware. Ceramic and Titanium body, and the front notch is really unique. Some more it's definitely cheaper and can get from Amazon now with free shipping to SG. Just the camera sux balls.

OP5T will win on larger screen size (not the dpi though) and headphone jack and very likely the cameras too. The only issue I have is Oneplus as a company is not very dependable, always like to flip prata and always so many controversy.

But at least one plus has already survived for few years with good end user community, for Essential phone, I even don't know if there will be any new model coming up next year.

That is true. I'm quite confident in the developer scene for Oneplus phones. And I hope their phones are better in quality now. My oneplus one already half dead. The screen no longer register touches in the middle of the screen.


But I've been looking at Essential, at least Andy Rubin is keeping his word on making the phone software better. So many OTAs just to improve the camera and they even have an Oreo beta rom out for users. They hold periodic AMA sessions on reddit so at least they are still active for now.

Hmm, guess I'll wait till black friday and see how then.
