Hey guys, am looking to build a new rig. Budget $1,200. Still a learning greenhorn :)

- Primary use, mostly for doing work on MS Office, surfing net and watching videos / movies.

- Secondary use, light photoshop / lightroom / video editing and light gaming.

Would appreciate your input on the following:

CPU: Intel Core i3-8100 Coffee Lake Quad-Core 3.6 - Lazada 12.12 ($182)

Motherboard: MSI Z370 Gaming Plus - Lazada 12.12 ($215)

GPU: ZOTAC GeForce® GTX 1050 Ti Mini 4GB GDDR5 - Lazada ($218.99)

Ram:Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 DRAM 2400MHz - Lazada 12.12 ($165)

SSD: Samsung M.2 SSD Internal Hard Drive 250GB - Lazada 12.12 ($135.90)

HDD: Western Digital WD Blue 1TB 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - Lazada 12.12 ($78)

Case: Tecware F3 Elite White [2 fans version] - Lazada 12.12 ($55)

PSU:FSP HYPER K 500W - Lazada 12.12 ($66)

OS: Win 10 Home - Carousell ($12)

Total so far without OS: $1,115.89 (Have not included the discounts for 12.12)

Hope to gain more insight on the above built before moving forward with my purchases. Thanks in advance!

You can save $10 more on the OS if you purchase it via TaoBao.

As for the Mobo & CPU right, maybe you can check if there's any bundle cause I recall see-ing a few bundles of Mobo & CPU which is slightly cheaper, also can consider AMD side if you don't mind because currently AMD got a wider range of MOBO available while Intel only got the Z-Series which I find it more chor

Looks pretty decent, the only thing would change would be the mobo, those MSI boards lately have been a bit buggy.
Get the Z370 Pro4.

Hijack this thread, I did a search on Taobao for the Win10 pro OS and the price is as stated.

But how do they deliver the OS over? Via CD or via email?

Thanks for your input guys,

Decided to go for ASRock Z370M Pro4 ATX Intel Motherboard instead of the MSI one.

Question is, will the Tecware F3 Elite case be able to fit the ASrock Z370M Motherboard?

Thanks!

Yes, F3 Elite is mATX / ITX Case, while Z370M is a mATX. However anything bigger than mATX will not fit, eg you upgrading to an ATX in future.

Anyway, just saw this 2400 Ram 4GB (same as the one you getting), but different model selling cheaper on Shopee @ $72 each. You might want to consider getting it.

G.Skill Value DDR4 2400
A prettier one

Also a GPU

Appreciate the response. I'll give the first ram option some consideration. Trying to spilt purchase between Shopee and Lazada right now for some items so as to hit the amount required for the $120 off (for Lazada) to maximise savings. :s13:

Hi, just wanna ask if asrock z370m pro4 can fit in tecware Quad case and if it have bluetooth installed in it. cant seem to find it anywhr online.
Yes. Quad is a matx chassis. It will fit.

No, mobo no wifi or Bluetooth. Source it yourself. Cheap Bluetooth USB adapter is as cheap as 5 or 10 bucks online from taobao or lazada.

Wifi adapter if you want reputable brand can get TP link Archer T6E PCIE dual band AC1300 for about $50 through Lazada or Dynacore
