Momentum is a hard thing to change, that's its definition. I have used LG G2 and fell in love with the double tap wake, but because fingerprint unlock totally gets rid of the need to double tap-pattern draw, my use for it became zero.

Even if there was an option to do a no-root double tap wake I'll not enable it because totally no use for it (from my perspective) and it uses battery power. Anything which uses battery power with no use, is eliminated from my services roster.

my mate10 pro default app crashes instantly the moment i switched it on, anyone facing the same problem?

Which app is that? So far I don't really use a lot of the default apps, but I have only experience app crash once when using Grab. Otherwise, everything is working well.

I agree at this point in time. But at some point if manufacturers start taking away the finger print scanner, then the double tap on screen might become useful. Things like facial and retina recognition don't appeal to me.

I upgraded from Z5 Premium too, but I'm still missing some features from Z5P like expandable notifications on lockscreen, drop down list on notification for Wifi network etc.

Yes. Sony has such feature that's missing from mate 10 but anyway mate 10 is generally a better phone compared to z5 premium

I can give u multiple scenarios where double tap to wake or front sensor is more convenient and much faster too.

1) you are at home or work where the phone is on the table. Notifications came in, double tap to wake phone to see who message, unlock phone using front sensor and reply on the spot without even lifting ur phone. If messages are not important, ignore without waking the screen. Do note the timeout for double tap to wake screen for quick glance is much shorter than waking the phone just to check notifications.


2) your phone is mounted in the car holder and notifications came in. Double tap and see, front sensor unlock without having ur hand awkwardly place to located the back sensor and depending on ur car phone holder, you may not even access to the sensor easily resort to using pin or pattern to unlock

Yeah, double tap to wake and front sensor have their advantages and uses.

I am considering between the non pro and pro, and that point about not lifting your phone to unlock , or while driving, not having to awkwardly tap behind, is good advice. Can I confirm that no physical button on pro front means there is no way to unlock your phone while it's mounted on the hands-free holder? Doing the knuckle knock means.the phone got to be very stable on the holder else it will go crooked whilst tapping.

Pro confirm no fingerprint on the front. Since I've not played with the pro, I'm not sure if dttw is available becos pro has AOD. Maybe someone with pro can let u know. Btw, knuckle knock is for taking screen shot for Huawei. U don't need to knock very hard to activate it tho

I used to get a pending alarm in the notification bar if the alarm was due soon.
But this stopped occurring after the latest upgrade to v119.

Anyone else has the same experience? Any fix for it? Please don't tell me it can only be fixed with a factory reset... :-(

Front fingerprint, dttw, dual SIM, AMOLED screen, fast as hell, vanilla android with some tweaks, great battery life, camera is nothing to write home about but ok. Cheaper too..

Why do u want Noled when the phone has a led.

If the phone led is too weak for you. Maybe u should try the app called light flow

There is microSD support in non pro. You can buy 256GB microSD if you need it.

While it is cheaper, I am not sure if there is any warranty. There are a lot of sellers locally that are selling parallel imports. Lazada is selling 5T it with local warranty if I am not mistaken.

I realized Huawei didn't handle 2 Google's accounts well enough, not sure if it's the fault of Google implementation.

For example, I have 2 Google accounts added. One of it with location history on and another with location history off.

But Huawei settings treated them the same. So if I go to location history settings it will prompt me that my location history is off.

When I turn it on, it will apply to both accounts and likewise if I turn it off, both accounts are off. Even if you specifically switch to another account to change the setting.

So far this is quite frustrating for me as one of my account is work account and I don't want anything turn on for it... Haiz...
