Had terrible service with borderlinx earlier on, and live chat with their CS, full value will be declared for Rma item. Meaning i have to pay 7% GST again if i were to use borderlinx

don't we pay GST only on new stuff? sending old stuff back and forth also need to pay GST meh?

early bird gets to enjoy fresher worms.
i flashed the moment the 1st post was updated.
swipe is nice, especially with the ergo of the device. need getting use to. also, read that some tpgs might affect the sesitivity at the edge.

Me too, already flashed last night. Still deciding on whether to keep on using the gesture feature. I sort of miss using the double tap and long press options.

Yah that's what I did. Used Nova screen gestures. My screen protector not yet delivered coz still waiting for other stuff in taobao.

Anyone purchased Oneplus 5T in Gearbest before? It has 3 colors in stock and the price seems fair enough. Is Gearbest reliable?

Their 8gb ram model is listed at USD$580 but dont go thinking that you will be paying at the market conversion rate of USD$1 = SGD$1.31. If you pay through paypal, the conversion rate is probably around 1.37. After conversion, it costs more than what you pay getting from qoo10 sellers.

Also you never factor in addtional costs like expedited shipping fee(their free registered mail is very slow and unreliable) and insurance fee(in event of lost package, if you never buy insurance they will only refund you 20-30% of the price paid). And yes, lost mail is a very real concern when buying from these oversea sites, especially for an item that costs so much.

Lastly, what about warranty claims? You have to sent it back overseas should you need to claim warranty. With so many cons and practically no pros, what for you want to buy from gearbest?

Its price is higher now, i heard that it has released some coupons for price USD$520 only in 128GB. My friend have purchased Xiaomi Mi A1 with super coupon in very low price and all things went well without so much concern before. At last he received the item 5 days after he paid and all seems not bad in his experience. Maybe low price break these all concern LOL

Well if price is your only consideration then by all means buy from the cheapest online source you can find. But dont say you never been warned. I bought quite a few times from gearbest before and their delivery through free airmail takes around 4-6 weeks. Personally i will never take the risk of purchasing such a big value item from them.

Other than what rECKleSSfElla mentioned, add custom tax/GST, I dun think it is cheaper than getting from Qoo10(with coupons).
