Tbh, I don't play games. I have a dedicated console for that.
But everyday tasks, the mm2 is significantly slower.

So even before mm1 starts throttling, if it ever does, it is already faster than mm2 which probably feels like choking all the time.

Yeah that's probably the case.

Mi Max 1 got 2 BIG Cores - The Cortex A72 in the 16/32G version and 4 BIG Cores in the 64/128G version paired with 4 SMALL Cores - The Cortex A53.

Mi Max 2 on the other hand is just 8 SMALL Cores. The performance difference is HUGE although the newer chip has the advantage of lower power consumption and newer architecture.

Hi all,

My Mi Max usb charger port has issues. Any recommended 3rd party repair in Singapore?

Thanks.

Yours sincerely,

For those who can't get VoLTE, can try this code in your dialer

*#*#86583#*#*

This will disable VoLTE Carrier check.

Then you can turn on the VoLTE option under SIM Card option.

Mine directly go into VoLTE after setting this on SingTel. Finally found the right solution to this problem.

The setting persists after reboot.

Just tried on my Mi Max with Starhub. Cannot leh. Still drops to H/H+ when I make a voice call.

Try *#*#4636#*#* Phone information for your Starhub sim and turn on LTE Provisioned.

Or you can also check with Starhub whether your plan got the ClearVoice VAS activated for VoLTE use.

I got no idea what did the trick. But even for mine on SingTel, it's not 100% on VoLTE like a bit dependent on the network signal too.

I have never seen VOLTE activated for Singtel...

For uninitiated (me), what are the benefits of using volte?

Calls will be done on 4G network instead of dropping down to 3G network.

Without it, when you're using internet on 4G network, you will have sudden drop in internet connection and also delay for the call to come in while your mobile switch to 3G network to initiate the phone call.
