Hey guys, just got an email from SUSS today saying that they've put me on the KIV (reserve) list for Social Work What's the likelihood that they'll give me an offer? And does anyone know how competitive Social Work is this year? Really hoping to score a place there, otherwise I gotta prepare for the appeals already.

I think only those that gets rejected then can appeal tho. Like those that gets rejected after or before interview. Or those that gets accepted but do not get into their 1st choice. Because if their appeal gets approved.. they have to go through the 4-stages of interview (the one that you did before and I believe you did okay for that to be in KIV list).

While those in the reaserve list.. I feel is those that did fairly well for interview (but they probably didn't accept you yet because there is still more interviews coming.. and there is limited seats so they just put you in this KIV list). But they still prioritise you. Just that you will get the chance only if any applicant who get offered decided not to go to that course anymore (or wants to choose other Uni instead of SUSS).

Haha ya. I actually applied on 19 March so yes I'm rejected roughly 1 week after submission lol

My friend's sister rp also 66.xx & applied for less popular course HR Mgt. Sekali kena rejected 1 wk after the submission. Rejected so fast very efficient lol..

Yes can! I think appeal thingy is open for those that got rejected after interview. Or those that didn't get offered a chance to go for interview. Because you are required to submit a file or documents that proves or show that you are suitable for that course. Cause I think that they only give interview chances maybe based on results than experiences or even your volunteer work (those non academic areas?) previously. So maybe they can put those things into consideration for your appeal. Then once approved for appeal you may have to go through the 4-stages of interview

OMG! Congratz! Thanks for letting us know! Wanted to sleep initially but I checked mine immediately after seeing this! I got accepted too!

I went for interview on 3rd March, Early Childhood FT, my poly cumulative GPA is 3.3-ish

I just got accepted into FT Business Analytics, coming from a completely unrelated course. Do check from the View Application site instead cuz they didnt send me an email for the acceptance.

oh okay! That's enlightening to know, but still makes me feel a bit insecure my other friends were already offered places but they applied for one of the business courses! I think competition for SUSS this year is increasing... nothing like what i've seen the previous years haha but I was shocked to see more business applicants then social work/HR applicants... I was the only one in the interview group going for social work. Thanks for the info! Are you a current SUSS student or applying this year too?

Honestly imo i think that is him just seeing the glass half full. I myself applied for the course of accounting but was placed in the KIV reserve list.

I dont see it as doing well for the interview because if we did we would have received offers already. Some people have already been offered even though interviews are ongoing. We are only given a chance if people who received offers reject it and even then in the reserve list i think we are all assigned a rank so only the person at the top of list would be given a chance then.

Dont keep your hopes too high, it will hurt when the rejection comes.

Congrats!! Do u know how big is the cohort? i will be attending an interview for Business Analytics early Apr. Mind sharing some info on the interview?

I'm not too sure on the cohort size this year but I read somewhere that the intake was 40 for 2017.

The interview process is exactly as how they advised in the email. Just read up more on the topic assigned to you.

For the last interview. Mine was a one to one interview and I found it pretty casual. It's just asking what do you know bout the course, SUSS and other achievements you had.

Ermm.. applied for early childhood this year! I didnt have any social work applicants when I went for the interview too!

Received an email informing me that im being placed in the reserved list on 13/03 but received my offer letter on 27/03. so dont lose hope!!
