Received an email informing me that im being placed in the reserved list on 13/03 but received my offer letter on 27/03. so dont lose hope!!

Wa! Congrats! I think there is some university starting to accept students already. For my friends, alot of them actually will apply for many university (more than 1). So sometimes SUSS will be a back up plan (for some). Then they probably some will go decline the offer for SUSS! So, those in KIV list, don't lose hope! Good Luck!

Once you receive the acceptance email.. you can choose to accept or decline. Maybe theres some who decline. so those in KIV gets the chance in that sense.

In the email, it was written like that. Hence I’m also very surprised to receive the offer letter within the first acceptance period.

Hey guys, just got an email from SUSS today saying that they've put me on the KIV (reserve) list for Social Work What's the likelihood that they'll give me an offer? And does anyone know how competitive Social Work is this year? Really hoping to score a place there, otherwise I gotta prepare for the appeals already.

What’s your gpa?

I'm an A level student but took it in 2016 and subsequently took a gap year to get work experience mostly. Now I'm just relief teaching whenever an MOE school hires me. I scored 70RP, B in GP, A in PW, took PCME and grades are DDB/B I'm leaning more towards humanities and social sciences now... Really regret choosing a science combi in JC T__T

Ermm.. applied for early childhood this year! I didnt have any social work applicants when I went for the interview too!

I've heard of quite a few who applied for early childhood too! But so far, I only met 1 or 2 social work applicants during the interview day haha but the faculty said they took 70 people in for the course last year which is actually very very tight seeing how they cater mostly to working adults who want their degrees while still on the job.

Anyone got accepted with GPA Lower than 3?

erm.. I saw some people wrote in the forum that SUSS minimum GPA for FT course is 3.2. Some of them actually went to ask the lecturer during open house with regards to the cut-off points and apparently they said that it's 3.2. But it's a "unofficial" one since they didn't really mention about it on their website.

Erm.. do you have related work experience with regards to the course that you applied for? or portfolio? If yes, maybe you can consider submitting an appeal on April! Since for the first window, they only give interview opportunities according to their GPA. Perhaps, they opening the appeal opportunity so that they can actually put your working experience or portfolio into consideration instead of grades!
