I just recently bought Asus Zenfone 4 Pro from buybuybox. Everything works fine until the front camera can't focus on my face or background which the photos are blurred.

I updated to Oreo and using other third party camera apps. Still having the same problem.

Any guidence on what should I do? Hope they get back on monday as I already sent email about the problem.

If everything's fail, should I ask for third party repair? I just afraid that they don't have the parts they need.

That’s the risk of getting an export set.
You have done the necessary steps. See if there’s any email from the site you got it from.

Alternatively you can try to send in locally and pay for repairs if available

Have you physically check for any blockage on the camera 'hole'.

Sometime screen protector or tempered glass may not be in the way.

Or sticker .. maybe need to clean ...

There's nothing blocked from my screen like tempered glass or screen protector.

Any local repair shop can recommend? Because I think this type of phone will take some time to ship the OEM.

for my case, it was black spot on a Samsung. i followed the tips here and succeeded in removing the black spot and also got my pictures clear after that.

So it turns out I did some research and it seems it was some dust trapped on the lens cover inside.. Some how it got in with a waterproofed cased phone.. But the fix was actually tapping the phone on a hard surface a few times and the spot vanished.. Weird but it solved the problem.. Make sure u don't damage your phone tapping it and do it with a hard case at your own risk

Try OpenCamera and use manual focus. See if it works. If manual focus work, maybe ur auto focus is damaged.

maybe your camera module is spoilt or there is a scratch on the lens?

export set hard to get warranty.

Well this depends though. If you are getting directly from them, just ship back to them out of your own pocket.

If it's local stores, best is for u to check if they did provide it in the 1st place. But if it's an after shop warranty. Den dun bother about it. Either u DIY or LLST :p

Same here, local sets are too expensive most of the time, ~1xx to 2xx for warranty. I will gamble on that since usually first 7 days or so can raise a dispute if got any issue.
