Hi, been lurking around here and chanced upon this interesting post. I was wondering, would JP be able to spot the inclusions if asked? I thought the scopes look pretty decent already. Have you seen better ideal cuts with lesser / smaller black spots or looks cleaner?
Considering all specs equal, how much more would a super ideal cut cost compared to this one? Is it worth the price difference?
Based on my understanding, white spots are better than black spots, and yes, they are definitely able to spot the inclusions if asked, it's just that it's an mutual understanding that ALL ideal cut will have flaws, only Super Ideal would be flawless in terms of scopes and performance.
Yes, there are Ideal cuts without such obvious black spots however, those that are 'clean' usually have other flaws that makes it an ideal instead of super ideal, e.g. the arrows might not be as aligned etc.....hence for ideal cut, you definitely need to compromise on some area.
Super Ideal generally cost about 15% more than Ideal of the same specs, so for a 6k ideal, a super ideal probably is 7k?
As for whether it's worth it, it really depends on individual and it's best if u compare both side by side in person to see if you can notice the extra bling and if u feel it's worth it.
