I also own an LG Oled tv.

I was about to sign up for the toggle package when I read in the FAQ that in order to watch the world cup on a tv using the Toggle app, one would need a Samsung Tizen TV with encryption.

https://tv.toggle.sg/en/shows/2018-fifa-world-cup-russia/faq#platforms

Perhaps email them to nicely ask if you could get a refund?

Am looking at likely upgrading from a 55" Oled to a 65" Oled or 75" Sony Z9D.

The premium on the latest LG Oleds is crazy. Sony has always been ridiculously priced anyways.

The 77" OLED costs way more.
If you get 65", the OLED is more VFM. For 75", the Z9D is awesome. Ask your local dealer for a better deal during the Sony Days.
Should be under 9k now.

Thanks for the heads up on the Sony Days, Pete.

I spoke with a HN salersperson over the phone 2 days ago and was quoted >$9K for the 75" Z9D. Perhaps, I'll get a better price in person.

Time for a shopping trip.

If you are really keen, go to HN at Millenia, they have all the panels for you to review.
The sales guys like Nicholas W are pretty keen to help you get a good deal..

i would suggest you email mediacorp toggle team to reconfirm, as well as lg team to recfm on this part. incase, there is any upcoming sw updates to solve this issue.

sometimes it could be some collateral mktg efforts between ss and mediacorp to just list ss tv as the “preferrred tv brand” on their site.

I think this would benefit the person I quoted.

I signed up with another service provider instead.

What was the selling price of LG C7 55 inches at mustafa ? On 30 May 2018, Best denki sells 55C7 at $4313 while 55C8 at $4323. So if I were to choose and buy, I will choose C8.
