Looking to play RuneScape only at max (not interested in other games now or near future)

given the game u playing, i still think that amd ryzen 3/5 should be more than enough and u pobably wont need a gpu.

GPU is needed uh as the client itself was designed to be used with dedicated graphic cards

What I meant is that with r3 a2200g or r5 a2400g. Their iGPU is more than enough to power up your game.

Nope it can't max with Ryzen 2200G.

Of coz you can.

My suggestion is to bring the SSD there only. Then GPU you install at home, install the drivers yourself. That will be easier.

Not very good to bring major components you source outside and ask the shop (which never sell you said component) to install for you.

Hence, I suggest just the SSD only you ask them install won't make you look that bad.

Apparently there's a Runescape 2018 lol

Plus, TS wanted a certain range of specs with a decent budget. So I'm just recommending based on his needs and wants. Also, i5, gtx 1060 6gb with full HD 60hz monitor can run almost everything he wanna try, even newer AAA titles at high settings if he want.

ya, i get what u coming from. getting a new PC and hope that it last for another 5 years or so for the games. even though maybe abit overkill on it.

I can't promise a 5 years specs overkill. It looks good for 3 years through, provided AMD don't come out with killer GPU like the Ryzen on CPU section. Not that I support anti-competitive. I speculate based on current market trend that's all.

Anyway, it's not overkill at all. Maybe yes for runescape, but TS is unsure too whether the PC will try other stuff. But his request on i5-8400 and a capable GPU choice of gtx 1060 6gb or GTX 1070 is fulfilled. Didn't chose 1070, coz otherwise he will need to seek out 2nd hand components and a 60hz full HD is underwhelming too. Given the budget, gtx 1060 6gb with the mentioned monitor is a more balanced and adequate combo.

seems like this new gaming engine might be using direct X system though.
