Just got delivery of the 55X9000F this afternoon. Been watching 4K videos on Youtube and Netflix.

First impressions are good. Very vibrant, bright and natural colours. Black levels are amazing for LCD technology; close to OLEDs but without the BI/IR/Banding issues. Dark details can be picked out easily.

The Android TV OS is slick. They must have improved the responsiveness/speed. The built in Google Assistant s good. Save me the trouble of typing the name of videos although the voice recognition not as good as Google Home.

Google Home recognises the built in Chromecast in the TV. So Google Home can connect to the TV and play Spotify and Youtube. Unfortunately, doesn't work with Netflix yet. Neither can Google Home turn on/off the TV. Hopefully the functionality with Google Home will improve with future updates.

Connectivity with my bluetooth headphones is really cool and very practical so that I can watch TV without disturbing others. Not sure whether the E series could connect to bluetooth headphones.

Before I decided on this model, I was considering the 55X9000E and the LG C7. But having seen the BI issues for myself, I discounted the LG C7. The E and F series was about S$500 difference. Took the plunge and bought the F series for future upgradibility. Looking forward to the Dolby Vision update soon.

how much did you get the sony 55x9000F and from where? i am thinking of getting the exact same model. did you get a soundbar with it?

Got it for $3099 at that time. Probably cheaper now. I have a 5.1 sound system, so no need for a sound bar.

Hmm... it sounds as if your TV model and the 65-inch one are from different series?

My TV to sofa dist is ard 3m. Currently I'm using a 55" TV. Should I get the 55"7500F or 65"7500F? I'm also considering 60"8300F but it's $800 more than the 55"7500F and $200 more than 65"7500F.

If possible. Get a bigger size. Why get a 55 inch to replace another 55 inch. 3m is not near at all. My sofa distance is 2.8m away from my 75 inch TV. Next time I will go for at least 85 inch for my next TV purchase..

Street prices around
55” x7500$1799
65” x7500 $2599
60”x8300 $2399
Must compare price a bit 😂

Where to get 60" 8300F at $2399? Currently these are e prices I got :
55” x7500$1799
65” x7500 $2549
60”x8300 $2599

Actually I also find it weird that the selling price of 65" 7500F is higher than 60" 8300F at Sony Experience store but the SE of another auth dealer can offer me the abv price.

Ya maybe because is 5 inch bigger that why price higher but specs wise x8300F is better then x7500F , normally IT show will have a lower selling price then street prices . Think the next IT show maybe around sept .

I mean the disc given is so diff. The selling price of 8300f is lower but after disc, its higher than 7500f. So weird.

Anyway, where did u get 2399 for 8300f?
