Typically announced alongside the new iPhones in sept. Already got reports that the screen will be edge to edge, have better battery life and more health sensors?

Advice is to wait. I currently using S1, also tempted to upgrade. But wait n see lo. If S4 too exp or not much changes, then can buy s3 at fire sales since prices will drop when S4 launches. That’s if there’s still stocks of S3.

Every new AW is better than its predecessor, similarly with most consumer products. Even if you purchased Series 4, Series 5 will also be better. So it’s a never-ending cycle.

I have fenix 5x and AW 3 lte. Using the fenix 5x more. More manly. No need to worry about charging it everyday.

tho aw3 seems to last for 2 days, but 5x is more robust and I like big watches on my wrist.

function wise, same. just aw3 is more interactive since you can make calls and more apps.

But been using for 3 months, only a few times used the lte feature. most of the time, my phone is with me.

Is the new Fenix 5x plus worth the $ though? It seems that prices have increased by quite a bit over the old 5x.

no. I believe only garmin pay, music are added. well batt life maybe goes for 20 days they say. But if u have the old 5x, shouldn't be a problem compare to AW3 LTE.

I've heard that US sets don't work with Singtel due to the different radio chip which are of a different bandwidth.

But also heard Japan and Aussie sets work though.

Advice needed.
Just dropped and cracked my iPhone 6 screen.

Think I'll wait out for the new models in Oct.
Just wondering if I'm gonna use a Android phone temporary ..

1. My Singtel Numbershare would still work?

2. Using Strava on my AW during my runs, and syncing it done once i back home to the iPhone. Does it mean i cant sync it with the Android phone once i return from my runs?

3. I guess Apple health is out of the picture totally.

Hi galliano,

NumberShare is an add-on service that allows iPhone users to share the same mobile number, data and talktime as your mobile plan on an Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS+Cellular). Therefore, it will not work with Android phones.

If NumberShare was already activated on your Apple Watch, I strongly believe it should still be activated and/or still be on device and you can still use it for the cellular services.

Just that of course, it wouldn’t sync with an Android phone - unless it has a feature to ‘upload’ the data via the cellular data into the Strava’s cloud services, which would be pushed down to your Android phone.
