CSO confirmed transaction already auto cancelled by system after 5 working days due to non settlement by merchant. Assure me that it will never be posted and ask me to pay again.
I am doubtful that it is cancelled after 5 working days. It is more likely 15 days since when we pay the deposit by credit cards, it is put on charge and release after 15 days if the hotel is not making any charges to it.

Sign. CSO said so and very certain. I called in twice. Both CSO said the same thing about 5 days. Anyway not a big thing. Amount not big and no need to seek refund......this transaction is strange. Usually takes just 2 days to post. Just highlighting in case anyone encounter this in future.

yup. it is dependent on the company to charge the credit card bank. some companies take days to charge the bank. 5 days is unusual but not unlikely when they may have some internal adjustments to their workflow. same for insurance companies, retailers, etc...

don't be so kanjiong next time ;) unless it's really close to the statement date. for me I try to make sure I have 2 to 3 working days buffer for them to post.

p.s. don't trust everything CSO says... must speak to the right department (e.g. billing) or get black and white via email.

Only one tax payment per tax account will be allowed on CardUp within a one-year period.

Go to cardup thread for more details.

Government linked services no longer count?!?

Hi,

Just wanted to know if you guys have any experience with charging your card to pay for government institutions and services and the transaction counts as your spent amount? :s11:

I typically use the sporting facilities and book courts at https://www.myactivesg.com/ and I always charge them to my ONE CARD...It always shows up something like that in my statement...

SINGAPORE SPORTS COUNCIL SINGAPORE SG
Ref No: 74508988218006212014214

The previous quarter I still received cash rebates and I would reckon that counts as a transaction...as I always hit the first tier spending amount and stop using the card...

But this quarter even though I hit the minimum spending tier for all 3 mths, I did not seem to see the cash rebate being awarded...which was odd because I had always used this to charge my SG ACTIVE transactions to and had always receive cash rebate...

I called the CSO just now and she wasn't that confident when I questioned her...so I ask the bros here...

I went to read the TnC to see if there is any new clauses added..and spotted this...

4. Exclusions
(g) any payments made to government institutions and services (for example, court costs, fines, bail and bond payments, tax payment, postal services, intra-government purchases and any other government services not classified here)

Is it because they had excluded it already?!? :s11:

The government services was excluded on uob one card since 1 feb. Activesg falls under government on other cards. guess uob "corrected" their system.

Call them and ask them to check for you and put up appeal.

I did not receive quarterly rebate (Mar to May) in June. At the advice of one kind brother here that can appeal once, I called. Was told that eligible amounts in March is $430. I ask specifically which item is not eligible. CSO said will need to check but in meantime will put up appeal. They did not call back but a few days later I got SMS that appeal successful. Received the $50 rebate in Aug.

BTW, payment to River Safari for member program not eligible. But its F&B counted.

Pay iras tax bill considered as 1 giro?

To get the 2.43% interest for your $75k, you must giro your Uob one saving account not Uob one card lah

If u use Uob one card to pay for iras, it’s not considered part of spending for the $500 for the 3.33% but will be good for the $500 spending for the uob one saving 2.43%
