If u want something extremely good quality recommend Ermenegildo Zegna: they have bespoke service. Think starts at 5k upto 20k++

IMHO a huge proportion of the price involves the premium paid for the branding more than anything else..

The starting price can get one a very respectable suit both in terms of the suiting and workmanship at any of the highly recommended tailors on this thread..

As prices go higher, law of diminishing marginal improvement in quality sets in.

Considering how much KS charges for bespoke, 5k isn't all that out of the range. I'm more interested in knowing who is the master tailor that Zegna hires to do the suits.

Zegna suits last for years if u look after them. But yeah - it’s like the Ferrari of suits so v ex
This applies to suits that aren't 5k. They're not notable tailors. In fact other than the fabric, construction is outsourced.

Zegna suits are the LV Bags of luxury leather bags.

$5k is really overpriced for the normal man on street. Maybe not for those with cash to burn...

Even if you have 5k there are better options. When tailoring, find a tailor, not a brand.

Anyone tried Assemble tailor before (whether suits or shirts)? Been following their Instagram and their work seems pretty decent.

Any tried the tailor (bb tailors) of Benjamin Baker? Price around 1000+ for 3 piece suit fused.

Not really worth it for that price. Can be better of going to Assemble / Common Suits / Seamless Bespoke if your budget is $1,000+.

Haven't tried suits or shirts with them, but am making 2 pair of trousers with them currently. Saw the fit of their suits on their clients in person and it does looks good. Shouldn't go wrong with them. They've pretty good selection of fabrics as well, including branded mills such as Drago, Holland & Sherry, Dormeuil etc.

At the former you're working with a brand and the latter, individuals.

I actually checked Seamless Bespoke last weekend, didn't come prepared and was a bit lost during the first appointment, so i'm going around checking off the rack suits to get some idea and saw the BB Tailors. Anyway will check your recommendations.

Does it mean it's better to visit Kevin Seah, KJ Dylan, seamless bespoke than CYC?

I will prefer to work with individuals but a good relationship is important to get something good, you know what you want and the tailor understands and executes what you want.

Was able to successfully ordered a pair of pants recently purely via IG photos and WhatsApp. Collect and pay when it is ready. Save me 1 trip and it turn out great like my previous walk in orders :)

Hello just a question guys.
Recently made two shirt but after washing, both seems to feel rather tight.

I'm very new to such stuff but how tight is too tight?

Right now when I take a deep breath, my chest part feels pretty tight.

Under my armpit there's almost no cloth to grab. Therefore I'm almost not able to raise my arm.

I do have 30days to go back and they will alter for me.

If you are uncomfortable in the shirts it means it is too tight. A well fitted shirt will look good and feel comfortable

Did it feel tight when you tried it on before washing?
