Hi recently my 1.5yr old redmi note 3 SE has been experiencing slow charging, so slow that i reformatted/tried various cables but no use. At first after reformatting it would still charge normally but next day same thing would occur. Does anyone have any ideas? I am thinking of bringing to service center. What are the possible charges?

Possible it is an issue with the battery. My only concern now is if Xiaomi service centre still carries battery for older model. Tried asking for my Mi 5 and they said they don’t carry parts for it... they don’t have a service hotline to call and check so only way is to make a trip down to send in for repair to see what they say.

There's MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM for RNM3 (both Kate and Kenzo). No model has gotten stable MIUI 10 at this point.

Yes eventually since it is an old model hence very low priority. Even newer models haven't gotten stable Global MIUI 10 yet. You can give beta Global MIUI 10 for Redmi Note 3 a try if you wish.

Something until now Mi hasn't given a proper explanation (and never will). Definitely not hardware issue because Mi Max 1 has same hardware and gotten Android 7 update. Redmi Note 3 will get MIUI 10 but just not on a newer Android version.

Redmi phone usually will get one android version upgrade or for some model no upgrade at all. Mi series phone might get more updates but for most is also one time only. Redmi Note 3 started with 5.1 and now is 6.0 so it's consider done. What Xiaomi will continue to update is security patches and MIUI version
which will bring in new feature.

Definitely more frequent updates than major brands like Samsung and LG, especially for low end fones.
