Hi guys,

Just passed my TP this morning! (First Attempt)

He teaches manual.

If anybody look for PDI around west area can contact my instructor, Raymond.
He's pickup point is as lakeside MRT station there. Rate is 26/hr for non peak, 28/hr for peak.

He have teaching experience of 30years, driving a white mit lancer.
Basically, he's very patient with me and always say "There's no "un-teachable students unless the students itself don't want to learn." He will let you drive around Jurong West area till he feel that you're ready for TP route. Learning from him, you will feel that your on road driving is much better compare to those school learners 1. He got his own ways of teaching and own theory of booking test date. So is either you want or don't want to listen.

One thing to note is that, he can't stand stubborn people that always talk back. He is those responsible type unlike some will fall asleep or don't care about you. If you don't mind him listening to oldies and eating tidbits while teaching, then it should be alright.

There's a one-time registration fee of S$50, and for test day, there's a charge of S$78 for use of his car(26 x 3). He will explain and calculate everything nicely for you. So don't have to worry.

Those who want his contact can PM me. :)
Could you PM me his contact please? Thanks!

Driving Instructor: Mr Ivan Tan (HP: 96676769)
Location: Ubi
Just got my 3A (auto) driving license this Tuesday! Second try, 14 points. Many thanks to my driving instructor, Mr Ivan Tan, for being a very caring driving instructor over the months :)

His teaching is very thorough, yet he is very patient to guide and teach students to drive well and safely! He has a heart for students learning to drive, so long as you follow his instructions and advise. I have benefited very much from his detailed instructions and guidiance, for he places much emphasis on safety. (Which is of extreme importance!) Learn from him humbly, and you'll learn a lot.

He also takes much care in keeping his car in good shape, sending it for maintenance regularly so that we students can have a car in tip-top condition to drive in. Also scheduling lessons with him is straightforward - propose a timing, and if there is a slot then you'll have the lesson booked! If not he'll suggest another timing to you.

A driving instructor you can count on, that will be on your side until the day you pass your driving test!

This Ivan has been "recommended" by "many" people with just 1 post, while some claimed to have quite a bad experience with him. Do consider :s22:

Lee Liak Hong
Enrollment $70
Weekday $38
Weekend $40
CDC, Auto only.
Mostly allow his students to take 1h each per lesson per week. However, if near test, will allocate his schedule & allow you to learn more.

Super patient, teacher quality, teach all u must know to pass, never fail to keep repeating the steps needed and ur mistakes, always pay full attention on your driving during lesson & correct your mistakes, never eat your time while u started drive (except if he needs a quick toilet), never anyhow shout/scold/throw temper unless the mistakes u made is ridiculous/dangerous/repeated many times. Even if so, he will say (educate) you to make u be more alert of your serious mistakes (wake u up) & please don't dream!

Patient and friendly instructors to recommend. With good reviews. Please PM me if u r keen.

WARNING ! FAKE POST ABOVE !

Most who recommend the guy (Ivan) above are fake accounts.

i just got my driving license today. I previously kena con by all the recommendation about that Ivan and took with him. Worse instructor in the world! Always on the phone throughout lesson, takes long toilet breaks during lessons..Also a lecherous old man...

Nags for things he didn't even teach until i once stopped the car and effed him upside down. I failed once , and the second tp, i wasnt allowed to sit because he booked the wrong car for me so the tester said sorry i cant let you do the test  That was enough for me.

I took 6 months off, and started again with a new instructor, carefully seeing the passing rates in tp website (cannot lie).

Thankfully i came across a gem of an instructor Mr Tan in BBDC. 2nd highest passing rate there. I tried calling the highest passing rate but he is chinese speaking only.

Mr Tan is really pro. He uses toy cars, laser pointers and even has equipment in his car to simulate parallel parking and vertical parking before going circuit.. ;)

He also takes toilet breaks BEFORE the lesson ( pickup point Bukit Gombak MRT ) and very rare to see him answer phone during lesson, even if have he keeps it really short.

Previous fella (Ivan) made me take 2 and sumtimes 3 lessons a week with nothing to teach, Mr Tan only taught 1 lesson a week. I took a total of 8 lessons and i felt i was very well prepared.

Passed it first attempt with him..yeah! Also you call him he will always say fully booked la this and that to see if you serious. Make sure hound him.lol..

I did that too. He told me fully booked i told him no worries i will wait. Then pester him til he message me on one free slot available n i grabbed it.

Here are his details

Mr Tan Kim Seong (BBDC Auto) : 81946933

Those less than 5 posts and recommend instructors with phone numbers all these most probably is fake, is probably written by the instructors themselves lol. Before deciding on your instructor try to Google their name and phone number and check the reviews before commiting to them. High passing rates not necessarily a good thing as well btw because these instructors are usually very popular and you can only learn once every one or two weeks. Best way to find instructors is through word of mouth from your friends or relatives as they won't recommend unless it's good :)
