They have graduate from university for many years by the time they go for PE Exam which they have forgotten a lot of things from university and practice regulations.

Some more Civil Engineers mostly work in construction industry which can work almost 6 to 7 days per work for more than 12 hours per day, and this mean they just do not have time to study or will be too tired to focus on self study even after work.

Wtf? Is exam really tough or a lot of stupid ppl taking? :o

Duno leh. From what i heard n questions(for first paper) told to me by my friends, it is not super tough.

I also scared fail, i only grad 1 year already forgot most of the stuffs.

Most of the basics like magnetic equivalent circuit, load frequency control, area control error, economical dispatch, transformer equivalent circuit, magnetising losses, efficiency of transformer, symmetrical short circuit calculation, etc i also forgotten.

Are there anywhere we can get study materials?
Were you from ntu? Currently the syllabus seems to be similar to what i learnt in ntu eee power major.

If u r from ntu can use back ur notes.

U from NTU? I see the syllabus seems like contents from EE3015, EE3010, EE4532, EE4530, EE4503, some CP 5, some high voltage stuff, some lv design n cable sizing, earth fault breaker discrimination, economical dispatch, load freq control, etc.

Oh wait....im electrical. Are u doing electrical fee?

Not well prepared enough. Not sure if will pass.

Topics on motors, magnetic circuits, transformer equivalent circuits i never pay too much attention during revision, but was in exam.

Other questions like 3 ph fault, unsymmetrical fault, electrical installation design, switchboard testing, cable sizing, breaker coordination plug setting, per unit fault calculations, generator droop, load freq control, transformer protections, tap settings etc are related to my job but the detailed calculations i didnt revise.

Unless i miraculously pass. :(

Any one here took also?
