I read double tap to wake can be enabled in all Android phones basically. Try Google.

if like all other xiaomi, u can tap on the recent tap and it should display that split sceen on the top left hand corner.

Those with Redmi Note 3 SE (Kate), MIUI 10 update should be available via OTA.

This would be one of the last few official stable ROMs from Mi as they announced they have officially stopped supporting Redmi Note 3 and Mi 5.

Yup from what I understand from MIUI Forums, another MIUI 10 update will be pushed out probably next month and that's the last official build from them. Best to go with custom ROMs from there.
