Is the mipad4 plus (should be onyl lte version) compatible for m1 sim card? Considering buying it to play some games like maple story m, pubg, etc.
But heard of so many incompatible issues that made me skeptical.

I saw that Themes was installed through the settings menu but don't see it on my home screen.
Is it something to do with region? But I can't seem to find the region selection also.

In addition, are y'all able to use the search function within the notification shade? Every time I tap on it, it opens and immediately closes.

If u saw my previous post, M1 and CL are working with 4G but no 4G+. I did download and tested play maple story m, no issue. U need Google play game and other Google services to work. U probably will install it when installing google package eg play store.

All can be done; can dl install yourself.
Mine came with global custom rom. at this time no official global version seen, no issues though of course official global is still best; current english upon setup.

You need to give Google and all its associated apps full permission... try and you should be ok...

hey guys.. i got a data card from starhub after signing up with home hub plus...
but when i put the card into the Mipad 4. i can't get it to lock to the starhub network..and this xiaomi keep asking me to activate the sim card ?? i keep ignoring it..

any ideas?

It should work out of the box... try removing the SIM card and putting it back? Alternatively try the SIM on another device first and see if it works...

But the inner monster is stopping me due to the absence of genuine global ROM plus Xiaomi officially restrict (future) Global ROM from being installed on China sets.


And do we need to unlock bootloader and root to install Google Play Store on this tablet?

I was reading through the Play services installation thread on Mi forum and they didn't mention needing to do it. Cos i know usually need to root to install for other Xiaomi devices. Is it special case for this tablet?

I intend to get a 10.1" LTE tablet for business purpose to store client documents so i cannot root it.

I installed playstore following the instructions from the miui forum. I don't know how to root my device. My set was sealed with original china rom. I assumed rooting is not required for this device.

I got a MiPad4 plus.
China ROM works fine. Just set the language to English during first bootup.

Don't need to unlock or root. Just download and run Google Installer which will install several google services including Playstore. The rest of the stuff just download from Playstore.

I have no plans to attempt to flash to global ROM for my tablet. So far, it's stable with very good standby and battery life. I use sparsely and can go for 2 weeks before needing a charge.
