It affect the google assistant but in a good way.

Previously the link between ihc app and google was very bad. It was a hit and miss and very messy. Its like you can control using ihc but you cant control using google assistant/ google home. You ask google to turn on bedroom light, the whole hse lighting might turn on or some work and some dont or some other problem will crop up. You need to revert to an older version of ihc to get things working.

With the latest version, it seems that everything is running good. Best things of all, google come up with indicator to show if the light is on or off without pulling neutral wire to the system.

I'm still testing my setup. Currently im very happy with the latest update.

May I ask if this also affects Google assistant as well? I'm thinking of getting a GH. But shouldn't a change in GH interface affects the iHC only? Why do you need to reprogramme the switches again?

I figure out the problems already. In google home/assistant dont assign your tc2 switches to any room. When you group them in room, voice command wont work cos you need extra commands for that.

Example
Bedroom light
If you didnot assign them to a room in google home/assistant. You can just say 'turn on/off bedroom light' and it will work. But once you assign 'room' ie "master bedroom", you have to say "turn on/off bedroom light in master bedroom". That by itself is a hit or miss cos it might turn on other lights in the "master bedroom" group.

My suggestion if your tc2 switch work well on ihc app just link it to google assistant/home and dont assign them to any room.

Hi all, am confused. Some ppl says broadlink tc2 and rm pro+ cannot seem to be controlled by voice using Google home. Understand we need to set up both on broadlink app and ihc app. Is this problem still persistent where Google home cannot control even after setting it up on ihc as a device?

I just bought it I haven install and try out yet. Some ppl were complaining it's the ihc app, the latest version in Aug that was causing the problem.

So I just dl an apk based on Jul firmware, later when home den try it out. But yea, will also take note of ur advice on location. Thanks.

I delete off my old tc2 switches in ihc app and physically link them back to the ihc app. After that i just link broadlink to my google assistant/home.

May i know what did you do to make it show as devices?
Mine is still shown as scenes

Ok, somehow rm pro+ and ihc does not seem to work. Neither scenes nor device show up in Google home. I linked u the ihc app to Google home, but no devices were discovered. :(

Hi, I'm having troubles to get my two TC2-2 pair & working in IHC android. I finally have Google Home, want to control via voice.

No problem to pair & using it on e-control, it's been 4 years working fine.

The hardest part is to add rm pro to the IHC app. The TC2 switches normally shouldnt be a problem unless they are faulty.

I realised the problem is ihc app itself. Ihc does not allow u to copy the rf freq somehow. Instead u will need to get an empty remote control, prog the switch freq into the remote, thereafter copy the freq from remote to rm pro itself.

I read back quite a number of post on this thread and realised that is what we gotta do. And I also just realised why resellers are selling remote control with the switches regardless of brand that is if u wanna connect it to the rm pro. Lmao! It's simply to facilitate this tedious process.

I am going to buy an empty remote tmr and try to see if it works. Pretty confident it will work. So far all my ir devices via ihc works thru Google commands eg. "activate turn on TV main", "activate TV (with sound system)", "activate turn off TV mains".

Looking forward to my experiment tmr.

May I know what type of RF Controller you planning to buy?

I will buy it today too. Will passby Sim Lim to check it out.

If not will find something similar at TAOBAO. Really hope I can finish set up this weekend.

I still have TC2-1 & TC2-3 each not install yet; & another type powerplug not able to pair too...

I am getting it from this guy

I kink gh to my power plug via a diff app. Only use ihc for rm pro+. Rm pro+ only controls t2 and infrared gadgets

Not sure how will you setup it, but $9 each I am willing to experiment it too.

I guess after proper set-up I no need to go to the TC2 to press switch. Just press the controler right?

Actually for some weird reason, the light can be toggle on and off thru ihc now.

What I did was in "e-controller" app, I long press and selected share config.

After that I went to ihc app, and set up switch. It enabled pairing and I was able to create a scene to turn on and off. But gh does not allow me to activate the command.

Have u tried on other devices such as TV or AC?
Do they appear as device too?

Hi guys,

I would like to ask if anyone has managed to pair the broadlink rm pro+ to the following:

1. Singtel mio tv set top box
2. Xiaomi 65" TV3s (controlled via IR, got a physical remote for it)
3. Crestar ceiling fan with light (controlled via rf. Got a physical remote for it)

Went thru 30 over pages in this thread but couldn't find any answers lol, hope u all can help me out here :)

have you found a workaround for the Mio Tv set ?
i got the same issues ...

AC will appear as device but it does nothing. Voice command still work for AC. That most important to me.

As for TV, i'm already using google assistant to control my tv. My setup is to use Nvidia Shield Tv.
Not link via broadlink so im not too sure if it would show up on google home cos mine already link using nvidia shield

Thanks!

Update, it does not work. The remote control can't connect to it. I am giving up trying to get gh to activate it. But for now I can still turn it on and off via ihc app
