Hi I would like to share my auto Bbdc PDI experience with this guy Raymond Chong Hp no. *9852xxxx white Honda Civic car. He is Super impatient and on radio while you drive and also he will take toilet break. You can’t really understand what is he teaching because he can’t speak properly and he nvr give you advise every lesson for what you should improve on your driving. He charge me $400 for TP+circuit and if you wanna learn circuit with him you will need to book him 3hrs but your circuit only take 1 hour so u just go on road for ‘practice’ for 2 hours because he just sit there and tell you ““Turn Left,Turn Right”. Don’t engage him.

Would like to reaffirm this about BBDC PDI Raymond Chong. I found him through a website drivinginstructor.sg Below are the reasons why:

1) He is super impatient, especially during circuit practice when everything is very rushed. He also expects you to memorise and remember all the steps by the second circuit lesson and gets extremely frustrated and unbearable when you make the slightest mistake that causes you to readjust the position of the car.
2) His english and pronunciation is very bad, many times you wont be able to understand what he is saying.
3) He has many bad habits during the lesson. Example: taking a toilet break, eating when you are driving, starting the lesson 5mins late and ending 5mins early, talking on the phone for up to 5-10minutes at a time.
4) The 3 hours circuit booking slot where you spend only 1 hour in the circuit and literally waste 2 hours just driving around. He really just sits there and tell you to turn left turn right without providing any helpful tips to improve your driving.

TLDR: Extremely impatient and unhelpful instructor. Only cares about the money and not about how to help you improve. Alot of wasted time during the lesson because of him doing stupid stuff that he wont make up for. Engage at your own risk.

Hi, may I know what happen? How much does he charge?

1.5 hours $57.

Scolds you for stuff that he hasn't taught you and expected you to know everything and roads around Ubi.

Always demoralise students by saying "you this not good, that not good, you like that cannot pass" etc.

Not sure if he overcharge when booking circuits because he always print screen and censor every information in the SS, except the dates, and asks you to pay a certain amount (what's the point of showing the receipt then?)

Tried asking him some questions relating to driving courtesy and was rebuked with "This one not going to come out on test you care so much for what? Don't ask irrelevant questions. You don't need to care about other people's car, you care your own one can already." (then safety checks for what har?)

Must be careful booking driving lessons with him. Sometimes he just change the dates and expect you to reply and confirm immediately on that day itself.

Confirmed circuit with him a week before and on the actual day he said circuit is full. Asked him why is it a problem when we've already booked the circuit a week before, he just kept avoiding the question saying can always learn parking outside, don't have this week can always next week yada yada. Asked him is it he forgot to book, continued to dodge question and insisted on you agreeing to his change of plans.

Never apologizes for his own mistakes and refuses to admit he's wrong. After that he will push the blame onto you.

100% will not recommend Ivan Tan.

Seems like he got tendency to create fake accounts to promote himself on this forum too.

The bbdc instructors are mostly patient and friendly uncles, if u pick their group. Testers are scary and mostly unfriendly.

Lee Liak Hong
Enrollment $70
Weekday $38
Weekend $40
CDC, Auto only.
Mostly allow his students to take 1h each per lesson per week. However, if near test, will allocate his schedule & allow you to learn more.

Super patient, teacher quality, teach all u must know to pass, never fail to keep repeating the steps needed and ur mistakes, always pay full attention on your driving during lesson & correct your mistakes, never eat your time while u started drive (except if he needs a quick toilet), never anyhow shout/scold/throw temper unless the mistakes u made is ridiculous/dangerous/repeated many times. Even if so, he will say (educate) you to make u be more alert of your serious mistakes (wake u up) & please don't dream!

Hi, pls pm! Thank you!

Hi all,

I’m looking for PDI at CDC. Please, I need a very patient instructor who wouldn’t raise his voice at me for careless mistakes. Preferably available once or twice every week, not too pricey (as long as it’s the average pricing, a little higher is fine). Communication through whatsapp/texting is preferred.

TIA!
