I use the wireless charger at work. More than fast enough. If u need faster just plug out the cable and straight to the phone it becomes super charge

Mine is non Pro.

What I mean is. Is there a need to buy 2nd set of huawei proprietary brand charger to use at school/work? Or I can use other power adapters like Samsung or iPhone from my previous phone.

If what matters is huawei's supercharge wire, then I can use my own power bank right?

Definitely. A normal charger just charges slower than super charge but still works fine.

It is not just the cable, but cable + adapter, or supercharger powerbank from HW

if only you had gotten the freebies last week, it gives the wireless charger which include the supercharge adapter and cable.

is it useful to buy a 2nd set of huawei supercharge adapter and huawei wire to charge phone at school/work?

or just get the huawei USB c wire and power adapter use iphone/anker/powerbank?

31.8GB of photos and videos took me around 40 min, although showed 3 hours estimate

Just found out something.. the folder i'm copying over has 20k+ photos and some how the speed slowed down after copying 4k+ photos over.

*Adding of 1 files to a folder after the folder is "full" will take long time

Copying files to new folders resume the speed....

Probably the file system issue..

not file system issue, is huawei cheaped out on the data cable...supposedly

Phone: Type-C, USB 3.1 GEN1*

*The standard USB cable supports USB 2.0.

a USB Type-C port may support USB 3.1, 3.0 or even USB 2.0, so just because you see the new port, doesn’t mean that it can transfer data at high speeds or provide 100W of power. When you see the term USB 3.1 Gen 1, this is just a fancy name for USB 3.0, and provides speeds up to 5Gbps. USB 3.1 Gen 2 is the new name for USB 3.1 which provides speeds up to 10Gbps

https://www.avadirect.com/blog/usb-3-1-vs-3-0-vs-usb-type-c-thunderbolt-difference/

5Gbps = 625 megabit/s = max 78 MB/s transfer theoretically

james said: 31.8GB of photos and videos took me around 40 min

this worked out to 13.25 MB/s which is about there for USB 2.0...does the computer detect huawei mate 20 as USB 2.0 or USB 3.0?

when i get my mate 20, am gonna try the usb c cable that comes with my s8+

hey guys, anyone know how to set the lock screen notification like iphone? im missing alot of notification if depend solely on the small light.

under notfication ->lock screen notifcations(shows)
under more notification settings ->(notification turn on screen is on)
->(plus otication light is on)
Display ->more display setting->(always on display)

hmmm. strange?

right now when theres a message comming in while my phone is lock, it does slight vibrate + LED light only, screen remains black with the clock display, thats all.

but if i off the (always on display). it will have the notification style.

cant keep both?

is there a way to preview notification when receive? like in the lock screen. now only will show there 3 message in whatsapp.

I see.. Probably. It was much faster than I expected so I started the process when I reach my office... and was quite surprised transfer over in 1/3 of the stipulated time. Now I don't need to carry 2 phones

Question: anyone use Wifi+ under WiFi settings?

If it switches to 4g halfway when you're doing a WiFi-only activity, like Spotify sync, big app update, or Google photos sync, does it stop the WiFi-only activity or just continue?

Seems like a good option to turn on but don't want my data to explode

I turned it off. This is the main reason why some ppl experienced high mobile data consumption and may cause battery drain too if ur reception area is weak and it frequently switches to and fro.

I’m happy that my overnight standby drain is excellent now. Unplugged before I sleep around 11+ and wake up 7am still 100%.
