I think he meant contradicting their claims of all credit card payments being eligible as there are recent exclusions as follows:

One Account: Bonus Interest
The following will be excluded from retail transactions and will no longer qualify towards the minimum required card spend of $500 to be eligible for bonus interest on the One Account:
I. Payment made on gambling or trading websites (including but not limited to websites for trading of shares, foreign currency and cryptocurrency), amongst current exclusions AND
II. Payments made to charitable/religious organizations, government institutions and services.

UOB is not as friendly as DBS or OCBC. Both DBS and OCBC show u if your credit transactions qualify for bonus interest, so u can double check the credit card spent total before the month ends to confirm u will get the bonus interest.

UOB does not show u, so if they suddenly fix their system or exclude any transactions or u mixed by $1, u lose the whole mth's interest of about $150.

UOB, can u pls be more friendly or customer focus?

I see ... usually when banks say "All", they really mean "All but with exceptions ... " :s13:

there are so many exclusions these days... it's becoming more of a hassle to keep remembering what qualifies and what does not.

but we can't do anything... it's the bank's decision. sigh.

The thing I dislike most is quarterly card rebate. So if you spend on something not eligible for min card spend for say the 3rd mth, lose the rebate for the quarter and earlier 2 mths that meet are wasted.

think some here have mentioned of success asking UOB to appeal for the rebate. they will likely ask u to spend more in the first mth of the new quarter if such scenario happens to fulfill the spend criteria for the missing mth.

give UOB a call if this happens and have a chat.

“Retail transactions” refers to local and foreign retail transactions and recurring bill payment but excludes the following:
(a) previous months’ outstanding;
(b) cash advances, balance transfers, fund transfers and fund withdrawals;
(c) instalment loans, monthly instalment under instalment payment plans or SmartPay;
(d) transactions arising from the use of your UOB credit card or UOB debit card for ATM transactions, NETS transactions, bill
payments at AXS machines, SAM machines and NETS machines;
(e) fees, interests, late payment charges and other financial charges imposed by UOB;
(f) payment of funds to any prepaid accounts, including but not limited to top-ups on any stored value facility, EZ Link card
transactions and other transit link transactions;
(g) unposted, voided, cancelled, disputed and/or reversed transactions within the calendar month for any reason. We reserve the
right to debit the amount of Bonus Interest credited from any of your Accounts if the adjustments arising from such unposted,
voided, cancelled, disputed and/or reversed transactions have not been made within the relevant month; and
(h) any other transactions we may exclude from time to time without prior notice.

To be updated with your second link from 2 Jan onwards.

Can I get some advice please? I just got the UOB ONE credit card. Do I have to call the bank to 'link' it to the ONE account so that I get bonus interest when I spend $500 monthly or is it automatically computed since I have both ONE account and ONE credit card.

Hi Trazora,
i am intending to join the UOB ONE party.
i will be :
1. spending $500 on CC
2. making 3 giro
3. leaving a max of 75K in the account.
i believe these 3 steps should earn an annual interest of S$1,827.00 as shown in the calculator at https://www.uob.com.sg/personal/save/chequeing/one-account.page
i have search but am afraid i may not have gotten the most recent information thus am requesting the links to the most relevant sources to read up on [1] the valid CC retail transactions & [2] the valid giro transactions.

for TnC (d) above will the exclusion of bill payments at AXS machines also exclude eAXS?

i believe ABT for VISA will be rolling out soon , any exclusion for ABT ?

thanks in advance.

eAXS excluded. ABT should be included in theory but need to test. All giro bill payments should be included for the 3 giro.

so for my own reading is this source https://www.uob.com.sg/web-resources/personal/pdf/personal/save/tnc-cts.pdf
the most accurate at present?
if yes, i dont see any govt sites, town councils, Peoples Association exclusion under para 40.12 so
would paying conservancy charges at the TC office, paying for child's ballet lessons at Community Centre be included in the $500 spend?
i am aware these are excluded from the UOB One Card quarterly cash rebate
many thanks
