Whole team played like school kids that makes Fools look like world class.

Think it's better not to play Lukaku these period when he is out of form. The team is clueless to launch attacks from ground and keep pumping hopeless long balls to Lukaku when clearly his first touch is already a problem.

Full backs are a massive problem. Dalot is inexperienced in big games, Young always allow opponents so much space behind him and he lacks pace to close them down. We clearly miss Luke Shaw on the left.

No decent attacking wingers. People are defending Lingard but to be honest, even though he seems like he commits 100%, he hasn't got much talent. Rashford and Martial are moulded from striker roles, they can't cross. Compare to Fools' Mane and Salah to our available wingers is like rabbit and tortise.

There is clearly something wrong with Matic. He is not the same as last season. Slow to react to his surroundings. Where is Fred who always adds more dynamism whenever he plays?

like i said, we couldnt get the ball out and its not because we chose to park. that was how poor we were against them.

there is a difference.

when pass forward, intercepted.
when Rashford is available to unleash, long ball to Lukaku who then loses it somehow.

7 defensive players on the pitch.. if that's not parking, i don't know what is..

sacking JM is not the most important thing to do now.

Hiring a DoF is. Please ffs Ed/Board go and appoint someone to deal with the football side of things, and let the DoF decide if/when to sack JM and if sack who to hire!

It’s obvious the players do not want to play for Jose anymore. At least during Moyes time, the players still bothered to turn up at CL games. Now all just can’t be bothered. I think we wouldn’t fare any worse than last night even if we fielded the U19 squad. So Jose should go. And the players should be ashamed of themselves.

Can these 2 take over till the end of the season?

Let SAF retire in peace. I don’t mind letting one of our old boys care-take till end of the season. At least impart the SAF way of playing to the lads. They have been under SAF long enough to learn a thing or two.

But he is at the most important position with the formation we play.
When you want to play counter attack, your center forward must capable to hold the ball well
And sadly he couldn’t win physical battle and headers with almost all defenders he faced

I always say it since the day we decide to buy him.
For a man his size, he has to play better with his back to goal. He is not even half of drogba in that aspect.

Jose Mourinho says Manchester United have a problem that started with David Moyes

https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-utd-vs-liverpool-mourinho-15560338

“Jose Mourinho believes Manchester United have a physicality problem in their squad which dates back over five years to David Moyes' era.....”

Jose, if you had said this after end of season one, everybody will agree with you.
but saying it after 2.5 seasons, you are just shooting yourself.

He is in his 3rd season & he still can't solve the problems. Instead the problem seems to be getting worse. New managers for Chelsea & Arsenal have almost solved their club problems in less than 1 season.

How to solve the problem when he is the problem?

Not true. Most of the players are still playing as hard as they can. They are just not good enough.
Too many defensive players were playing.

When you have guys like Dalot (new), Darmian, out of form Matic and Lukaku playing, you really cannot expect much. Okay maybe Matic is not trying hard enough but the other players were trying.

No need to try hard enough when you're guaranteed a spot in the starting 11 and never getting criticised by the manager even when playing badly.

Isn't he the virus in the club then? All the problems are from him. He's just good at deflecting them away to others to preserve his own reputation. Some people can't see past that.

in my opinion, last night:

Defence
They were let down by the entire midfield that allowed too many balls and players to roam to the edge of the penalty area.

DDG was let down by the entire midfield

darmian was missing, if not then losing to his opponent most of the time

bailly was running around like a headless chicken trying to cover all the gaps that appeared

lindelof was quiet and never showed any authority on the pitch

Midfield
Young was making attempts to run and cross in the early stages, but that's all to it.

matic was quiet, did not manage to control the midfield

herrera ran with energy, but nothing came out of it

dalot showed promise, but he had too little chance to create anything.

Attack
Rashford was running hard, but he seldom held the ball high up the pitch

lingard was one moment seen attacking and then suddenly disappeared into oblivion the next.

lukaku was performing like how bebe was.

Subs

Fellaini (for dalot) seriously dented the balance of midfield. other than one good run into the box to try to connect to young's cross with a diving header his performance was piss poor. he's supposed to cover the right side of midfield but he was more in the centre most of the time, leaving the right empty.

Mata was introduced late into the game and didn't manage to do anything significant.

Martial was also introduced late and didn't manage to do anything.

worst performers for me were darmian, fellaini, lingard, lukaku
