Done my mate 10 upgrade 2 days ago.
Did factory reset a few times.
Before I re-install all my app, not by restore method.

So far everything works smoothly.

All major firmware upgrade need to factory reset (clear all cache) and re-install app.

Ya install from scratch is definitely the best.. just that it's a huge waste of time. Think I'll use the google back up and restore method, at least that one downloads everything from play store and if I'm lucky, the app data gets restored too.

Why u need to do factory reset a few times? did u do once first, then upgrade FW, then do factory reset again before installing the app?

Sometimes one reset could not clear away bad residual memory, if any.
From past experience, good to do a couple of factory reset.

Yes, definitely time consuming but worth the trouble. All the hips about full restore from backup didn't works well from my past attempts. Fresh app and restore app data, works perfectly.

Think have some problems. Try changing to another Telco sim card. I tried yesterday from starfug to m1 and it triggered the update

After you switch sim card (another Telco) then try restart your phone and launch hicare again?

Or clear hicare cache and retry ..

Not sure any help but sharing as below.

Before my mate 10 upgrade. Not the pro. Hicare also didn't prompt me for the upgrade. That was few weeks after I learn from here about upgrade.

Than only I discovered hicare prompted about the upgrade. It was not immediate after I FReset. Think was on second day.

I suspect there is issue with mate 10 Notification.

After upgrades several days already.
Am still not very satisfied with it notification features related to WhatsApp, Telegram and Facebook.

Compare with my other phone, Asus zenfone, every app notifications came in perfectly. My WiFi doorbell works too but not with mate 10. Tested with Samsung and works great too.

EMUI is aggressive in killing apps to achieve better battery life.

My telegram sometimes get killed too, even though I locked it in the recent apps menu and whitelist it.

Think I rather downgrade to other phone. Staying away from mate20.

Try to manually manage all those apps you want to receive notifications from. Make sure you allow them to run in the background and to auto launch. I never had any issues with my notifications and battery is still fantastic.

also to check - anyone' battery need to be replaced after 1 year of use?
