Posting review for Mr Frankie Yue.

3A, Toyota Axio
Pickup at Ubi CDC (Can arrange for Tai Seng / Ubi MRT pick up)

Chose him mainly because of the review I saw while trawling through the many pages in this thread, and that he also has quite a high pass rate / student numbers as well.

Can confirm that he is indeed a top notch instructor. Took approximately ~10 lessons from him (did have some prior driving lessons with school) and passed TP on the first try some time back.

He is patient, and will point out mistakes every single time you make them. Gives very good tips for driving in circuit and on the road, can fully recommend him. Speaks good English, but does not engage much in small talk. I'm by nature not a chatty person, so this suited me really well. Does not scold you / chide you even if you don't do well, but instead he will remind or nag you.

He is professional as well, and is always there on time. Does not take frequent toilet breaks while driving as well. Even if he does need to answer nature's call, he'll do it quickly.

Only downside is that he appears to have a lot of students, and therefore scheduling can be a bit difficult especially for working adults. (Was running 1 lesson at week for some time).

Feel free to PM me should you want his contact, can 100% recommend him.
hi,
could you please share his contacts?

thank you

Hi! I just approached him as well and requested to learn every weekday from next week, which he claims is ok now. But his response is really slow. May I know if he returned the $70 deposit to you since he asked you to look for others? Appreciate if you can share.. thanks alot!

Beware of PDIs whom have fluctuating $ charges (not trustable). Read their reviews carefully, there are websites like PDIREVIEWS.com, pdip.sg, and a website with Traffic police pass rates (search for it online). Some PDI have lower passing rates, be aware of that before you make a decision. Beware of those who have negative reviews too.
I am also looking for a PDI. Happy to chat or share resources.

For those who ask, the link to the pass rates is www.police.gov.sg/resources/traffic...car/passing-rates/private-driving-instructors

As you can see, it is separated by SSDC, BBDC, CDC.

Recc to choose PDI with higher pass, %, at least 50 %. since school is also above 50%

Hi guys, I just signed up ssdc class 3 private and will be taking my btt next year 7 Jan. I looked up online to search for pdis to know the rates and reviews (I'm aware that I need to pass my btt first, but I do research beforehand so if possible I can get an instructor as soon as I pass and got my pdl). Anyone has heard of Ng Keng Hwa or used to be his students? I see that his passing rate is quite high but IDK what teaching style he has and his personality etc. I texted him the rates and availability and he quoted me $38/h non peak, $40/h peak and he only can teach at daytime everyday. Is the price reasonable?
Anyone can recommend good pdi from ssdc?

Best if he/she is based at north area.

Found a PDI, registration fee $80 and $40/hour. Is it more exp than market rate?
